The Sims 4: Storybook Nursery Kit is a set of nursery items inspired by classic fairy tales and vintage elegance. It includes ornate furniture, beautiful toys, unique wallpaper, and some classical decor to tie it all together. Each piece has multiple swatches that include dark gothic tones, as well as neutral and pastel options.

The kit was made in collaboration with creator SixamCC, and includes some unique touches that pay homage to the game’s lore. Here’s an overview of every item included in the kit.

The nursery includes matching beds for all pre-school Sims. A bassinet for newborns, a crib for infants, and a toddler bed for, well, toddlers. The crib and toddler bed both have an extra plain white swatch and a dozen other swatches match across all three items.

The colours here include dark red, black, and green, as well as both silver and gold accents. You’ll also find lighter neutral tones alongside yellow, pink, and blue pastels. The swatches here set the tone for the pack as a whole since everything matches across the range of items.

The furniture essentials include a beautiful old-fashioned bookcase, with glass doors to protect everything inside from sticky toddler hands! There’s also a night stand which goes well next to the crib or bed. Alternatively, it can be used near the rocking chair to create a perfect cozy corner for night feeds.

The nightstand has a slot on top for placing a lamp, books, or any baby items you may want to keep close to hand. For toddlers, the bookcase contains a range of stories your Sim can read to them before they drift off to sleep.

Hangs On Clothing Rack

Every Sim needs clothes and these items make sure all ages of Sim are covered. The changing station provides a safe space for infants and toddlers to have a diaper change, while the clothing rack holds all their essentials. The matching wall shelf fits perfectly above the changing station and has some infant essentials on it as well as a slot for an extra item.

The clothing rack is perfect for kids' clothing and comes with an open slot on the shelves on each side, as well as one under the rail. You can also place clothes on the hanging rail itself, some of which also come with this pack. It’s a neat and unique way to store your child’s clothes.

Soft And Supple Playmat

$125

Supports Infants

The toys in this pack span all ages of child. For infants, there is a soft and supple playmat, in colors which match the rest of the furniture. Infants can also use the other toys in the pack, although they grow out of the playmat once they hit toddler age.

Toddler Sims can use the blocks, toy chest and doll house, and even children who have outgrown the nursery with it’s toddler bed can still use the toy box and doll house. The antique design of the toy box would fit in nicely in any old-fashioned home, and the doll house is based on a real home belonging to a prestigious Sim family.

Every good nursery has a cute lamp for when you don’t want to light up the whole room and this animal-themed lamp is just what’s needed. A perfect blend of cute and vintage, the animal lamp matches other items for a hint of adorableness.

The chandelier is also vintage and classic looking but not so ornate or over the top that it feels out of place. It’s the kind of light fitting you could use in any room and match multiples styles with it.

These decorative items add some unique finishing touches to your nursery room. The wallpaper is a vintage feeling image of Pleasantville, evoking some nostalgic memories. It’s accompanied by some simple drapes that match well, and a bed canopy with the same swatches.

For a touch of decor on the ceiling we have a cute hot air balloon mobile, drawing inspiration from the wallpaper. Finally, a rug offers vintage glamour styles as well as a handful of adorable animals.

The final items in the pack are some clutter items to add personal touches to the room. The photoframes show a Sim as a newborn and an infant, while a diaper bag is essential for anyone with a Sim of either of those ages. While the bag isn’t functional, it does look very at home on the shelf in the wardrobe, or beside the door ready to go.

The wagon o’wares has some creatively displayed toys in it, while the plush has several swatches. Once again these are decorative items, but they add to the style of the room and will stay looking great, unlike the regular toys you place which your Sim child will move immediately. Nurseries have never looked so good.
