Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Sevenis a game filled with arcane systems, and enemies level up alongside your party, and skills can be passed down to other party members. But where, oh where will you go to keep track of all of thisstuff? Well, the Imperial Standing screen, of course.
Imperial Standing is your one-stop-shop for an overview of both your current weapon proficiency, and everything you need to know about the current strength of the standard enemies you’ll encounter. It is also where you’ll go to track the Memories of the Seven Heroes you have already found.
Overall Standing
By utilizing the different weapons, you will increase the global standing for each weapon type. This means that every unit that utilizes those weapon types will be stronger when those global standings improve.
However, before you equip every party member with the same weapon in order to grow its global strength exponentially, it is worth noting that growth will slow greatly once a weapon type has started to outpace the strength of the enemies you are fighting. It is generally going to be more efficient to spread the TP around and attempt to level everythingsomewhatevenly.
Current Revenue
This one is pretty straightforward. The money you earn from each encounter doesn’t vary, the amount earned is determined by the amount of money listed in the “Current Revenue” in the Imperial Standing. You’ll increase your revenue through certain story events - such as opening up trade routes, or securing areas like the Gemstone Mines.
The quests that are more likely to increase your earnings are often pretty easy to peg from their names. A quest that mentions opening up a trade route will almost certainly increase your revenue once it is complete.
Enemy Strength And Battle Record
This is where you can check the current might of the enemies you will face. What determines Enemy Strength? Well, it is the Battle Record. Total Battles, in particular, is the number you need to focus on. The more encounters you engage in, win, lose, or flee, the more powerful monsters will become.
This is an extremely important metric to keep your eye on, as if your Enemy Strength is greatly outpacing your access to more powerful weapons and armor, you may quickly find yourself backed into a corner.
We have a whole section dedicated to how to level efficiently and how to avoid having enemies overpower you.Check it out here.
Memories Of The Seven
As you travel through the world, you will encounter a number of glowing obelisks. When you interact with these objects, you will witness a memory of the seven. These provide players with context on whom the core antagonists are. You will collect these gradually over the course of the game, as you complete different dungeons. There doesn’t appear to be a material reward attached to them, thoughthere is a trophy attached to finding all 15.
If you are on the hunt for all the memories, the important thing to know is that they are exclusively found in dungeons and enemy-infested locations. Additionally, there will always be a glowing trail that will lead you directly to the memory-storing device.
Annex Region Rewards
Every time you liberate another region of the world and forge an alliance with its leaders, you’ll unlock another node on the Annex Region Rewards tracker. After claiming thefirst region, you’ll unlock class abilities and theSmithy facility. Liberating yourthird regionwill unlock theAvalon Gardens, which will increase the amount of money you earn in battle.Four regionswill unlock thethree-person Unite Attack.
Freeingfive regionswill unlock theImperial University. Freeingseven regionswillunlock ability mastery(which will allow characters to equip the class abilities of characters not in the party). Unlockingeight regionswill allow you toexpand the Imperian University.Nine regionswillunlock new classes. And finally, once you have unlockedeleventotal regions, you will earn thefour-person Unite Attack. Needless to say, these are all huge boosts, and will greatly strengthen your units.
If you complete the primary quest for each region, they almost always conclude with you annexing it.
