Summary
Final Fantasy 14’slatest live letter has been and gone, revealing a bunch of new information about Patch 7.1. On top of more quests and details about the patch, it was revealed that it will be titled Crossroads, and will be released at some point in mid-November. No specific release date was announced just yet.
For starters, the live letter revealed new artwork for the patch, which contained a bunch of characters, most notably Bakool Ja Ja,a character that has exploded in popularity recently due to people thirsting over him. Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida (known by fans as Yoshi-P) then revealed some of the content that will be added to the game in Patch 7.1.
Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.1 Will Add Allied Society And Custom Delivery Quests
We knew that Patch 7.1 would be adding a bunch of new MSQ quests, but Yoshi-P was pretty hush about what they’d be about. He does hint that they’ll focus primarily on Zoraal Ja, so it’s possible we may dive into the character’s backstory a little, as well as his relationship with his son. We do jump forward in time quite a lot in Dawntrail thanks to Alexandria nonsense, so there’s a decent amount of story to explore there.
We also got a first look at Patch 7.1’s new dungeon, which is called Yuweyawata Field Station (good luck pronouncing that one) and appears to be some kind of research facility. We got a few decent screenshots from Yoshi-P during the live letter, but he was being coy about the lore once again.
Alongside new MSQ quests and dungeon, Yoshi-P also revealed that the new Allied Society quests forDawntrailwill be added in Patch 7.1, and will focus on the Pelupelu. The story itself will focus on a new Pelupelu trader character, though the details were pretty sparse again. However, Yoshi-P did explain that this set of Allied Society quests will be great for players leveling jobs to 100.
Yoshi-P also announced which characters will be featured in Dawntrail’s Custom Deliveries quests. This time around, players will have to visit Nitowikwei, the wife of Wawlika, who helps you build the train in the MSQ.
On top of all this, it was also announced that even more Role Quests will be added in 7.1, which will unlock once players complete all Role Quests for all role types. Crafters and gatherers will get more quests from Wachumeqimeqi, whileHilidibrand will also be headed to Turalin this patch too, and we got some screenshots teasing that storyline too.
