Ever since theFive Nights at Freddy’s movie was revealed to be in the works all those years ago, it was pretty clear that it’d end up getting a sequel, something that wasalmost instantly confirmed after the first movie broke records at the box office. Since then, we’veheard a lot about Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and how it aims to focus more on the scaresbut, until now, we hadn’t seen anything official from it.

As great as all of the teasers and behind-the-scenes lookshave been so far, fans have been dying to see something more concrete on Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. That wish has finally been granted, as the first official poster for the movie has been revealed, confirming what we’d all suspected - the Toy animatronics are here.

First Official Look At Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Movie Revealed

Over on Twitter, the official Blumhouse account shared the first poster for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, confirming a May 09, 2025 release date and revealing that Toy Freddy is going to be in the movie. Considering how well the animatronics were adapted for the first film, it comes as no surprise that Toy Freddy looks spot-on and like he was ripped right from the game.

While the Toy animatronics have been confirmed for a while now thanks to behind-the-scenes images, the confirmation that Toy Freddy is going to be in the movie and looking brand-new does raise some interesting questions. For those that don’t know,Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (the game, that is) is actually a prequel to the first gameand leads into the series' beginning.

The first movie also changed the chronology a bit and was set in the year 2000, whereas the game takes place in 1993.

With Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard both confirming that they’ll be in the second movie, it seems like Blumhouse is taking a different approach with the sequel and its Toy animatronics and having them appear after the chronology of the first movie. That is, unless Mike somehow finds a way to travel to the past. God, I hope that’s not the case.
