Where To Find The Eldin Volcano Summit
After progressing further with the story, you canrevisit your friends in Goron City. Talking with the elders there reveals thatDarston has gone missingafter they all heard strange sounds coming from the volcano.
You’ll need tomake your way to the summitto see what’s going on. Head to theRock Roast Quarry waypoint, then use your echoes toascend the cliffsto the north. Follow them east to reach the summit cave entrance.
It’s justpast the stamp stand, before the lava lake!
Inside, you’ll find Darstonwaiting. He’s worried thata Flame Giant has awakenedwithin the volcano. You’ll need to head inside and try to see what’s causing all the trouble so that the Gorons can rest easy.
How To Solve The Volcano Cave Puzzles
Head into the cave to start exploring.Move the lava rockplatform with Tri onto the lava spout, thenride it up to the cliffs. Scale along them and avoid the lava raging up the wall.Place another lava rockso you can reach the next section.
Here, you’ll need touse lava rocks to cross the field. However, it’s alsopossible to use the bed or cloud echoes to crossthe chasm once you reach the back wall.
Enter the next area and quickly make your way through the fiery grass. The Fire Keese monsters here willlight it up and burn away the bridges.
If you canput out the fires, you may save them. Otherwise, you’ll need to use your echoes to reach the back of the room.
At the top of the cliff, you cantake a ladder downinto the most dangerous section of the cave. The lava willcontinue to rise and fallrhythmically, so you’ll need totime your movements carefully.
Hurry down the ladder andmove east to the next rock wall. Scale it quickly and wait for the lava to fall again. Once it does, drop back down and continue east.
Before you go, collect the treasure chest full of rupees to your left!
Hop across the lava and climb the ladder, carefully using your echoes to avoid the magma. Once it descends, drop down the ladder anduse the Tweelus echoes to crossthe last gap.
Stand on top of the last Tweelus toride the lava up to the exit, where you’ll reach safety for a few moments before confronting the flame giant.
How To Defeat The Flame Giant
Todefeat the flame giant, you’ll need to get creative. The best thing you can do isput out the flames using water-based echoes. You won’t be able to get close without doing so, as the heat will set you ablaze.
This boss is incredibly similar to theSeismic Talus boss fight!
Hydrozol is a great option, as they can besummoned in larger numbersand put out the fires. Allow your echoes to do most of the work, cooling down the boss and granting you the chance to get closer.Attack the glowing blue orbto knock it off the flame giant, thencontinue slashing awayat it until the flame giant reforms.
You’ll have to do this several times before the giant is defeated. Once that’s done, collect the piece of heart dropped by the giantand return to the entrance. Speak with Darston and you’llreceive the Goron’s Bracelet.
This will allow you tocarry things much faster, which can be helpful for solving puzzles and moving obstacles around.
