Although it wasgreat to see newcomers like Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, and Juice Wrldadded to the game’s roster, Remix also sees the return of Slim Shady.
It wasn’t that long ago (Chapter 5, Season 1 to be precise) thatEminem took the starring role in a season of Fortnite, but Epic has decided to bring him back with a brand new skin for Remix. While I’m sure that some fans are disappointed to see that slot taken up by someone we’ve seen before, it turns out that Eminem is also bringing along one of Fortnite’s most inventive weapons.
Fortnite’s Latest Minigun Sings Rap God When It Fires
Shortly after Fortnite Remix kicked off,reliable insider HYPEX revealed that Eminem’s new crossover would be hitting the store on November 7, which will presumably go alongside the character being added to The Island as well. The new Marshall Mathers skin isn’t the only thing coming with the collab, though, as he’ll also be bringing a brand-new weapon.
That weapon is a new minigun, which might draw some sighs and eye-rolls at first due to how unpopular that weapon type is but should turn heads as soon as the bullets start flying.As showcased by Twitter user andredotuasset, Eminem’s minigun is unique in that it raps along to the infamously fast “Rap God” whenever it’s firing.
Eminem’s collab also comes with anew emote that has him rapping along to Berzerk in a little Slim Shady mobile. There’s a lot of love for Slim Shady’s music in Fortnite Remix.
That’s not all, though, as the minigun will also cause lyrics from the song to pop up as it shoots bullets at whatever’s in sight. We’ve had some interesting gimmicky weapons in Fortnite in the past (god I miss you, Kamehameha), but this has to be one of the most inventive in the whole game so far.
Funnily enough, this isn’t the only weapon in Fortnite’s Remix season that has a musical cue, as Snoop Dogg’s Drum Gun will play the opening melody of The Next Episode when picked up. Here’s hoping Ice Spice and Juice get a unique weapon with their own tracks.
