Phoenix Springsis more than just a typical point-and-click detective game. It feels more like a psychological journey, and the main character, Iris, finds herself sitting on a train at the start of this journey. In her hand, she holds nothing but a photo of her brother, Leo Dormer.
As you progress through the game and the story deepens, Iris will acquire more leads, bringing you closer to unraveling the narrative. Of course, knowing where to find these leads and which objects to use them on is important. This guide will cover the very beginning of the game, helping you reach 17 Taibao Street.
How To Reach 17 Taibao Street
First, the main character, Iris, will find herself sitting on a train. If you right-click, you will see the leads Iris has. These are key phrases that Iris knows and learns as the story progresses, necessary for advancing in the game. To progress in the game,after selecting a lead, you must click on an objectrelated to that lead. This way, you can solve the puzzles.
Initially, the only lead you have is the name ‘Leo Dormer,’ Iris’s brother.Select this and then click on Iris’s head.Iris will look at the photo in her hand, and suddenly, you’ll find yourself in Iris’s apartment. There aren’t many things to interact with in the room. Therefore, the first thing you need to do isgo to the area on the right side of the room where the boxes are located.
To the left of the boxes, there will be paperwork.Select ‘Leo Dormer’from your leads and thenclick on the paperwork.This will give you the lead'17 Taibao Street,‘which is Leo’s residence, but Iris will say she doesn’t know where it is.
Return from the boxes back to the room, and to the south, you willsee a terminal resembling a desktop computer.Select'17 Taibo Street’from your leads and click on the terminal. This will cause Iris to leave her room and arrive at this address.
How To Find Clues About Leo On Taibao Street
In this new place,move towards the light green house in the middle, which is 17 Taibao Street. When you reach the front door, you will see it is locked. However,click on the door and select the Use option.Iris will attempt to get in, but it won’t work. Thus, she will acquire the lead’Padlock.‘Turn back from the door and return to Taibo Street.
After leaving the front of the 17 Taibao Street apartment, you willsee a letterbox on the wall to the left of the path leading to the apartment.If youuse the Padlock lead on it, you will earn the ‘PADLOCK + LETTERBOX’ achievement.
This time, go to the area on theright of the building you just turned back from, which is 19 Taibo Street. The door in front of this building will be closed, and to the right of the door, you will see a blue intercom.Click on the intercom and select Use.
This will allow you to talk to an old man on the other end of the line, after which the lead screen will open, and you will be able to make a selection. Here, you should use your leads to obtain new leads:

After obtaining your new leads, close the lead screen andhead left to return to Taibao Street.What you need to do now is go to the Camp area located to the left of 17 Taibo Street. Here, you willsee a kid in a red t-shirt; click on him and select Talk To.The lead screen will open, and you shouldselect ‘Scavenged Items.’
The kid will then show some of the items he found on the ground. Close the lead screen andclick on the leftmost object, the Pens,and select Look At. This way, you will see the abbreviation of the university, ULS, on the pens.Select ‘University’from the lead screen and thenclick on the Pens.This will give you the lead’ULS.’
After obtaining the Landlord leadfrom the old man using the intercom, if youuse this lead on the tent behind the red-shirted kid,you will earn the ‘LANDLORDS + TENTS’ achievement.
Go back to 19 Taibao Street anduse the intercomto talk to the old man once more.Select the ‘ULS’ lead, and you will learn the name of the university, acquiring the lead’University of Life Sciences.‘After obtaining this lead, Iris will find herself in front of the university.
