Summary
Of all the games you’d expect to leave the last generation of consoles behind,Goat Simulator 3likely wasn’t one of them. Especially when you consider how long ago it launched and that it has aNintendo Switchversion. Well, it might be late, but Coffee Stain has caved to popular demand and created a last-gen version of the newest Goat Simulator forPS4andXbox One.
The best part of this backtrack is that by the time you’re reading this, Goat Simulator 3’s last-gen store pages will be live on both the PlayStation and Xbox Games stores, so you can go and buy it right now. What’s more, if you already own the current-gen version of the game, you now own a copy that will work on last-gen consoles.
The same logic applies to those of you who plan on picking up Goat Simulator 3 on PS4 or Xbox One in that if and when you do make the leap to aPS5orSeries X|S, the current-gen version of Goat Simulator 3 will be available at no additional cost. Other than it not looking quite as polished as the PS5 and Series X|S version of the game, last-gen Goat Simulator 3 is exactly the same in every way. Whether you want to play through its quests, mess around alone, or invite a goat friend for local or online co-op, it’s all still there.
Goat Simulator 3 Is Now Available On PS4 And Xbox One
Pilgor Awaits
The last-gen version of Goat Simulator 3 also includes all of the updates the game has received for the past two years as well as the Multiverse Of Nonsense DLC that was added to the game earlier this year. The DLC brought 100 new outfits and a whole new map along with it as well as, as the name implies, the ability for your goat to hop between universes. The last-gen version of the game arrives two weeks before the launch of Goat Simulator Remastered, although that will only be available on PS5, Series X|S, and PC.
Four years into the current generation of consoles and studios still haven’t stopped making games for PS4 and Xbox One. Not only that, but like Coffee Stain, some studios have deemed it worthwhile to go back and create a last-gen version of a game after previously skipping it. Respawn did that this year too, releasing a last-gen version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivormore than a year after its initial release.

WHERE TO PLAY
Goat Simulator 3 is the sequel to the wacky sandbox action game, in which you play a goat hellbent on causing mayhem on the island of San Agora. As before, it parodies almost everything you can think of, from legendary FPS games to pop culture favourites.
