Just over a year ago, the ever-patient GTA fans finally got what they’d been wanting for nearly half a decade -the official reveal trailer for GTA 6, which confirmed that it’s set in Vice City, stars two protagonists,and is releasing in 2025. Since then, we’ve all been desperate to find out more about it, with rumours surfacing every few monthsthat suggest something new is surely on the way.
While a lot of the recent rumours have beensurrounding the release of new screenshots for GTA 6, what we all really want to see is the long-awaited second trailer. Now that it’s nearly been a whole year since the reveal, fans have started expecting it any minute, although it looks like most have lost hope.
GTA 6 Fans Are Losing Hope For Trailer 2 In 2024
Now that we’re finally in November and approaching the 11-month mark since the last GTA 6 trailer was showcased, fans have been discussing whether or not we’ll be seeing the second trailer before 2025 as we all expected.One such discussion was held on ResetEra by JasoNsider, who asked fans if they expect to see Trailer 2 before the year is up.
While I thought that most fans were positive that it was happening soon, the results don’t lie. As of the time of writing, 66 percent of the votes think that we’re not going to see the second trailer soon, with a much smaller 34 percent remaining hopeful. In the comments, a lot of fans even say that the lack of news means it’s going to be pushed to 2026 or turned into a PS6 and next-gen Xbox game.
For context, Red Dead Redemption 2’ssecond trailer was released around 11 months after the first one. Which means GTA could be soon if it does follow that trend.
This isn’t the only discussion to take place about GTA 6’s second trailer,as another ResetEra thread started today by Besiktas asked the exact same questionand had mostly the same results. Even here, it seems that most fans agree that it’s unlikely to happen in 2024 and is more likely going to be shown next year.
We won’t know for sure until Rockstar finally says something about GTA 6, but it is a little sad to think that most of us have lost faith in a new trailer happening this year. Here’s hoping that we’re all surprised in November or December and don’t have to keep waiting to find out more.
