Alongside general changes and bug fixes, includinga new character, Queen Dizzy, Arc System Works is changing the way that every single character on the roster plays. While some character changes are relatively minor, characters like Sol Badguy, Potemkin, Ramlethal Valentine, and Sin Kiske will feel very, very different. They’re so different, in fact, that the Guilty Gear Strive team recommends that, “Players will have to go back and practice to re-learn some things.”

As well as the changes to character play styles, Arc System Works has confirmed that defense has been raised “across the board,” allowingGuilty GearStrive to keep the “satisfying heavy damage the game is known for, while increasing the overall number of interactions throughout a match.”

With Guilty Gear Strive confirmed to be featuring on theEVO France 2025line-up, players will have a little under a year to refamiliarize themselves with these changes in the hopes of competing at, and winning, the event.
