Summary

There’s a strong chanceAstro Bothas swooped in to claim 2024’s Game of the Year. That really does depend on what qualifies for the award, though. Not just becauseElden Ringgot OpenCritic-busting DLC, but also becauseHades 2launched this year in early access. A welcome reminder that one of the best games of the decade so far got a sequel this summer, and despite its early access tag, it already has its first Nendoroid.

Since Zagreus has been replaced by Melinoe as the game’s main protagonist in Hades 2, it only makes sense that the Goddess of Nightmares be the first character from the sequel to get her own Nendoroid. Good Smile shared the first images of its Melinoe figure this week, opening pre-orders for the Hades 2 Nendorid. It will be a while before it arrives though, shipping in Q3 2025. Hopefully Hades 2’s full release will be here by then.

Hades 2 Melinoe Nendoroid Figure

As is the case with most Nendoroids, what really sets them apart from Funko Pops outside of a higher level of detail and quality is the ability to alter the way your figure looks. Melinoe’s Nendoroid comes with two faces - a brooding one and a smiling option so that you can change her mood to match your own. It also comes with a dagger and a sickle among other interchangeable parts so that Melinoe’s look and pose can be switched up if you want it to be.

Happy Or Brooding, You Decide

That higher level of quality coupled with interchangeable parts comes at a higher price. Pre-orders for the Melinoe Nendoroid are $44.99, and considering the popularity of Hades 2, I’m assuming they’ll sell out. If you want to get a Hades Nendoroid collection on the go, or you want some Hades-themed merch long before Melinoe’s figure is due to arrive,Good Smile also has Zagreus back in stock. $10 more expensive than Melinoe, Zagreus’s Nendoroid comes with additional accessories including the Blade of the Underworld and the Shield of Chaos.
