Among the weapons getting a buff is themuch-maligned Flamethrowerand the game’sunderwhelming anti-tank weapons.
Helldivers Patch 1.001.1000 Due To Heavily Rework The Game
In its patch notes, Arrowhead confirmed that Helldivers 2 would undergo a “major overhaul of anti-tank, armor penetration, health, and armor values,” and that it would also be balancing weapons and stratagems and reworking enemies. The changes range from weapon to weapon but typically include an increase in damage, a rate of fire increase, decreased recoil, or increased magazine sizes.

With thelatest stratagem locked behind a paywall, it’s unclear whether this raft of changes will do enough to win fan sentiment back, especially given theflip-flopping of the game’s review score on Steam. That being said, it certainly seems like a step in the right direction and one that shows the studio is genuinely listening to players.
