The majority of people learned thePrince of Persiaseries from the games Ubisoft created in the series, starting with The Sands of Time. The series almost two decades before them though back in 1989 by Jordan Mechner. From its humble origins, it may has become a massive series in its own right.
And with any massive series comes many, many games. So many, in fact, that its own ports got new titles and unique elements to distinguish them from one another. And with so many to choose from and plenty of them still readily available. it might be worth knowing just how much time these games will take you.
While multiple mobile games exist for Prince of Persia, most of these are either for older feature phones and not well-documented, or endless games that can’t be quantified, and thus aren’t included.
How Long To Beat Every Mainline Prince Of Persia Game?
Massive games are part of Ubisoft’s namesake these days. If you hear a new Ubisoft game is coming, the default assumption is thatit will be gigantic, bloated to the point of sickness. But this is a relatively new phenomenon, starting somewhere around 10-15 years ago. Coincidentally, right around when the Prince of Persia series went on extended hiatus.
The early Prince of Persia games were games that would be seen as almost egregiously short by modern standards, though were asuitably satisfactory length for the time. Here’s how long each of them is below.

Humorously, the longest game in the mainline series is the final onecreated by Jordan Mechner, before the series even ended up in Ubisoft’s hands. At16 hoursto see it all, the game is still the third-longest in the whole series when it comes to 100% completion, and the longest still just to reach the end of the story.
Altogether, you’re looking at68.5 hoursto get through just the story, and a total of92.5 hoursto see and do everything the mainline games have to offer. That is, notably, lesser than just about any AAA Ubisoft game released in the last few years.
How Long To Beat Every Other The Prince Of Persia Game?
Well, what about all the various spin-offs, ports, and so on?In terms of games beyond the mainline series, there are actually not all that many. The majority of the games in the series are actually ports of the mainline games, with only a scant few spin-offs being created.
In fact, it wasn’t untilThe Lost Crownin 2024 that Ubisoft made proper, dedicated spin-off games for the series. Funny for such a big series. Anyway, here are the times for each of the games:

There aren’t too many games here, and they have pretty similar lengths to the games they are ports of in most instances. For just the main story, you would need to invest around56.5 hours. You would need anextra 11.5 hoursto see everything these games have for atotal of 68 hours.
The Rogue Prince Of Persia is both procedurally-generated and still in Early Access at the time of writing, sofigures will vary wildlyfor this game.
Again, that’s apretty small length of time for the whole set of spin-offsand the like. Prince of Persia is one of the rare series where there are quite a few more mainline games than anything that might be considered a spin-off. In fact, The Lost Crown is by far longer than any other Prince of Persia game, and it’s short by modern standards.
How Many Hours In Total To Complete Every Prince Of Persia Game?
You’ve seen all the games, you know how long they take individually, now let’s take a look at what the whole series, from beginning to end, would take in terms of time investment. By itself, it’s a decent figure, though in regards to Ubisoft, it isalmost ridiculously short.
That is just8 hours shy of a full week. For a series that began back in 1989, that seems like a pretty generous ask. It is in reality shorter than any single AAA game that released just this year. That’s a series that has respect for your time while still leaving a massive impact.
For reference, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes around 146 hours to 100%. That’s before any of the DLC.
