Quick Links
In the original Sonic Generations, you could equip both Classic and Modern Sonic with a series of skills that boosted their stats, or gave them new mechanics entirely. This system is basically identical inSonic X Shadow Generations, though with a single new skill added.
It’s been a long time since the original though, so we’ve newly compiled every single Skill that you can unlock for each Sonic, where you get them, and just how exactly they all work. So let’s get int and get Sonic equipped with some mad skills.
How Do Skills Work In Sonic X Shadow Generations?
Skills are a pretty simple endeavor in Sonic Generations, and not as complex as you might think. There’s no experience or upgrade paths here, just plain and simple Skills. Each Skill has a point cost, withthe lowest cost being ten, and the highest being 100. Your maximum equip load can only be 100, so all of your abilities combined have to fit within that limit.
Mind you, that doesn’t mean you can equip ten Skills with a point cost of ten.You can only have five Skills equipped at a time. However, you can also make five Skill loadouts, and these are independent for each version of Sonic. This means you can make a series of different loadouts and swap them out for each level.
For example, you might want to equip Breath Holder for Chemical Plant and Seaside Hill, but they’d be useless in Rooftop Run.Skill loadouts let you quickly change without having to reset your Skillsevery level.
Every Skill And How To Unlock Them
So how do you unlock these copious Skills for our deeply blue Hedgehogs? It’s quite simple - play the game. No, but they really do unlock from just about every activity.Collect Red Star Rings, beat certain Challenge Acts, finish the story, buy them from the shop, and so on.
