From the snowy mountains to the Webbed Hollows/Depth inBlack Myth: Wukong, the Destined One’s journey continues in chapter four with a bang. Nearly every mob and boss inflicts evil or poison stats in the hollows with every hit, including whopping physical damage. After the Second Sister kidnaps and takes the Destined One into the hollows, they are now ready to face numerous robust enemies.
In the Webbed Hollows, you will meet Centipede Guai, a nimble and heavy-hitter boss who resides near a giant skull tower and will give the Destined One a definite challenge as they bout to prove who’s stronger.
Best Equipment For Centipede Guai

How To Counter
Giant-Leap
Once you jump down the platform, Centipede Guai will make adelayed leaptoward the Destined One for a devastating attack.
Wait for Centipede Guai to make the jump, and as he tries to approach you, make adodge to the right. This attack provides a vast window to execute perfect dodge.
Head-Head-Back
Usually, Centipede Guai will make athree-hit combo: It smashes its head into the ground twice, followed by abackdrop.
The other variant of this attack consists of athird head smash, replacing the backdrop.
Simply wait for Centipede Guai to hit the attacks; the head smashes are faster than the backdrop, so make arhythmic dodge to your right twice, and with patience, wait for the backdrop and dodge.
Two-Hit Swipe
Centipede Guai will attack with his hands to make atwo-hit comboto recover its poise.
When you notice Centipede Guai back on its feet,dodge backwardif you see its right hand moving for a swipe.
Acid Spit
Centipede Guai will stand on its leg andspit acidat three spots beneath itself.
The second variant throws theacid throughout the arenainstead of the ground.
Once Centipede Guaispits the acid, avoid the green areas as they inflict the Evil stat.
Roll-up
Centipede Guai willroll itself upand start rolling around the arena as it is pressured.
Wait for Centipede Guai to roll up. As it starts running around the arena,dodge either left or right to avoid being hit; this happens multiple times in one roll-up.
Mini-explosive Centipedes Spawn
At50% health, Centipede Guai will screech andsummon hundreds of mini-centipedesthat explode if they catch up with the Destined One, inflicting Evil.
As Centipede Guai screeches, you must run around thearena’s cornersto outrun the mini-centipedes.
How To Beat Centipede Guai
From the Bonevault Keeper’s shrine, move forward and jump into the boss’s arena. Once you haveCentipede Guai’s attention, it willleap for a massive attack. Make a dodge right, andwait until it initiates the head-head-back combo.
When it falls, execute anormal-hit combo and use a Focus Point at the endfor a bit of bonus damage.There are two possibilities: It will either make a two-hit swipe combo or acid spit.
Retaliate the two-hit swipe combo with aperfect dodgeand attack it with a usual combo, andfor acid spit, fall back momentarily to avoid the acid AOE.
Centipede Guai takes a while to recover from the acid spit; you can exploit this situation by using the Immobilize spell andrushing toward its head (weak point) todeliver massive damage. If youmanage to retreat, it will leap and attempt tosmash youwhile being all rolled up.
As it reaches50 percent health, it will screech, and that is your queue to fall back to thearena’s cornersand wait for themini-centipedes to spawn. Once they spawn, you mustrunaround the arena to avoid themsince they willblow you upif caught in their radius.
After this attack, not many changes will occur in Centipede Guai’s moveset as the similarattack loopholewill continue for a while. Repeat this process for a few minutes, and you’ll emerge victorious. When it ends, the Destined One is awarded with these items:
