Soon after Adol arrives in Carnac while playingYs X: Nordics, you’ll witness a tragedy where the Griegr raid the village and all the villagers disappear. As you progress through the story, you’ll learn that Jord transformed all the villagers into her puppets, and you slowly have to purify them all as you unlock more areas.
After understanding Jord’s power at the start, you’ll face her again at the end of the Griegr Fort on Raufos Island. She won’t hold back against you here, and you’ll also have to give it your all if you want to win this battle.
Jord Overview And Attack Pattern
While Jord Dorsen might look a lot smaller than the other bosses you’ve faced so far, she’snothing to scoff at with her massive pool of 53,533 HP. Combined with her 282 STR and 280 DEF, she can easily deplete the HP of your active character if you don’t pay attention and dodge her constant attacks.
Description
Ninja Attack
The most common attack performed by Jord is where she shines her red sword for a few seconds before disappearing andthen instantly reappearing near your active character. She will deal damage as soon as she reappears.
You get a lot of time to get ready for this attack, and you essentiallyhave to press the parry button as soon as you see her disappear.
Slash Attacks
These are some normal attacks that Jord performs in the downtimewith a red or purple sword, and you can parry them easily. If you get hit by the purple sword, it’ll build Poison on your character.
Speed Attack
Jord commonly performs easy-to-dodge speed attacks that you canuse to get some extra damageon her.
Red Attack
You might see Jord perform a red attack during the battle if her durability lasts long enough, andit’s quite easy to dodgeas long as you keep an eye on her.
Area Denial
Once Jord’s durability bar is down, she’ll create an electric field on the battle for a few seconds. Going over this fieldwill quickly build up Paralysis.
How To Defeat Jord Dorsen
Being one of the three main villains, Jord Dorsen won’t be an easy foe to defeat. However, there are a few things that you can use against her in this battle. Firstly, it’simportant to get some health potions and solid medicine for Poison and Paralysisin your arsenal just in case you get close to the point where you have to use them.
Once you have that ready, you can also try to get as many quick skills as possible. As mentioned above, Jord charges for quite a while before performing the attack with her red sword, whichgives you time to trigger a small skill before having to trigger the parrybutton.
At this point, it’s highly recommended to buildAdol for damage and Karja for Breakso that you can use them both in this fight.
Start the battle with Karja and consistently use skills with thehighest Break damage like Frost Impact, which you might already have if you’ve been paying attention to skill mastery. Once the durability goes away, you can switch to Adol and spam all the damage-dealing abilities.
One thing to note with this fight is that Jord getsstaggered for a few seconds if you perfectly parry her normal slashes, which gives you ample time to get some attacks in.
