Once you teleport there, you’ll find aResentful Noble looking for someone to recover his Black Jewel Necklacefrom the Catacombs in the Mausoleum. Quest Prep

Withapproximately 30 days to complete the quest, you’ll have plenty of preparation time. Most importantly, you’ll want towait until 7/2 to gain Heismay as a follower and party memberbefore diving into the Catacombs.

Most of the foes within canblock or even repel physical attacksback at you unless youdeal magic damage, and they can alsoinflict annoying ailments like Daze and Hex. For this reason, it’s wise to use an effective party, like the one we’ve outlined below, to tackle the dungeon.

Healer

Back

TheHealer will be the backbone of this compositionto keep everyone in top condition anddeal Light damagealong with theKande skillinherited for Electric damage. TheBrawler Archetype works great with Strohl, andit’ll help you take on a certain type of enemyas well as allow you to use thehard-hitting Energy Ray Synthesis Skill.

On the other hand,Hulkenberg will stick to her tank role to sponge damage, whileHeismay can be adjusted as a backup Healertoaccess the Mahama Synthesis Skill.

Strohl and Hulkenberg should also learn the Hama skill, as you simply can’t go wrong with too much Light damage for the Catacombs, and you’ll understand why later on.

Colossal Vampiric Gelatinos

Similar to Colossal Gelatinos butimmune to Fire. Instead, they areweak to Ice. You’ll only encounter one of these near the end of the dungeon.

Malmorta

Skelly enemies thatpop out of coffins and are cripplingly weak to Light and Strike damage. The Healer and Brawler archetypes, in this regard, are particularly effective against them.

How To Unlock The Dark Magla Door In The Catacombs

Before heading into the Mausoleum, make sure topick up the Skullduggery quest from the Nervous Soldier. Since itsdeadline aligns with the noble’s request, you can complete both in one go.

You’ll simply need todefeat eight Malmorta enemies to collect eight Mortaskullsfor the Skullduggery quest.

Strohl channels the Brawler Archetype to use the Energy Ray skill in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Once inside, you’ll notice that thepath to the Cathedral is blocked for repairs, but thepreviously locked gates in the hallway will have opened up. Don’t bother with the right one, sohead through the left gate, and you’ll enter the Catacombs.

Thepath is pretty linear, but when youreach a circular area with three doors(two on the sides and one straight ahead), things can get a bit confusing.

Themiddle door leads to a Dark Magla Door where the boss, Kadablich, awaits. However, it’slocked until you find two halves of a key.

Each half islocated behind one of the side doors in a chest, and thepath to them is straightforwardunless you want to take a few detours for extra loot, which are relatively easy to spot.

Once you have both halves, you may nowunlock the Dark Magla Doorand face Kadablich. Be sure tosave your progress at Plateaubefore the big fight!

How To Beat Kadablich

Kadablich is alevel 25 boss that engages you in battle with three Malmorta soldierson its side. Theseskeletons are a sacrificefor Kadablich, expending themselves toheal it for flat 2,000 HPon their first turn if you damage the boss.

However, theHealer’s Mahama Synthesis skill can wipe out all three Malmortain one go, so take them down first.

Kadablich repels physical attacks, so don’t bother with those, and instead, your only means of dealing respectable damage is throughskills that deal Light Damage- something that we’ve been harping on in the prep section.

The boss has some powerful skills. The ones you should watch out for areCurse Chant, which can possiblyinflict a party-wide Hex debuff, andMamudo, whichdeals Dark damageand is dangerous for your Healer Archetype.

Luckily, the fight can be over in under a minute, and you can even come out of it unscathed if you play it right.Start by casting Mahamatoclear the skeletons, andon Strohl’s turn, use Energy Rayon the boss to deal massive damage. After that, keep hittingKadablich with Hama from the rest of the party.

When your round is over,Kadablich will likely waste its turn casting Curse Chant, giving you the opportunity toland another Energy Rayandfinish the fight without taking damage. With an Unscathed Triumph, you’ll receive extra experience and currency.

A Haunted Heirloom Quest Rewards
