After progressing in the main story ofYs X: Nordicsand starting your journey on the seas with your shield sister, Karja, you’ll soon meet an interesting character called Logr. He’ll be introduced as one of the three Generals on the enemy side, and his main objective will be to make this tale as heroic as possible.
He’ll also play his part in that by making the battle against him one of the most epic in the entire game. You’ll fight Logr at the end of your journey in the Ruined Capital of Ribe, and he won’t make it easy for you to get past.
Logr Overview And Attack Pattern
By the time you reach the end of Ruined Capital of Ribe, you’ll have already gone up against various bosses that can give you a tough challenge if you’re not prepared. However, Logr Valkios is different ashe’ll give you a tough challenge even after you make all the preparations, which is evident with his massive 53,200 HP pool.
While his health might be lower than theprevious general you fought, Jord, hisSTR and DEF aremuch higher at 418 and 372 respectively. He also has a constant barrage of attacks thrown at you, and here’s what you may expect:
Description
Sword Descend
Logr will regularly lift his hands up in the air and cause multiple swords to descend on the battlefield. There will be yellow circles on the ground showing you where the swords will fall,and while you can parry them, it’s recommended to just dodge.
Speed Attacks
There are quite a few speed attacks that Logr can perform, with one being him launching multiple orbs at you while the other being himinstantly launching multiple arrows in an arc shape.
These attacks are easy to dodge, and they provide you with agood chance to deal increased damage.
Orb Attack
Sometimes, Logr will launch an orb that slowly moves toward the character you’re currently using. This is agreat attack to parry since it’s easy to timeand builds a ton of revenge gauge.
Spin Attack
Logr can also spawn a bunch of swords around his body thatrotate in a circular pattern as they expand. This attack is also great for building your revenge gauge if you can parry in time.
You can easily identify when this attack is about to start as you’ll see somegreen and yellow rays on the ground below him. After the spinning ends, the swords move straight out in a circular pattern around him.
Mist Attack
Once you get rid of Logr’s durability, he’ll enter the Whiteshade and spawn a bunch of clones. The best way toremove these clones is by grappling to them one by one.
However, keep an eye on the surroundings as you’ll constantly have to dodge speed attacks during this.
Wall Of Orbs
Sometimes, you’ll see Logr go high up in the air and spawn a bunch of blue orbs. This attack is guaranteed to happen once when he’s low HP, except this time he spawns the orbs in a circular patternall around you.
Simply keep sprinting as these orbs speed towards you to dodge them. When you see the orbs stop for a bit, get ready to parry asLogr will come to the ground for one attackbefore heading back and launching more orbs.
Purple Pools
During some attacks including the wall of orbs at the end, Logr will constantly spawn purple rings on the ground. It’s important to avoid theseas they can inflict Heavy on your character, preventing them to dodge the orbs.
How To Defeat Logr
After reading the sheer variety of attacks Logr can perform, you might already understand that he’ll not be an easy foe. You also can’t simply spam attacks to defeat him since there’sat least one attack (Wall of Orbs) that you’ll have to learn how to dodge. If you start getting hit by these orbs, it’s almost impossible to prevent your character from getting knocked down.
For these instances, it’s important to keep a bunch of revival medicines in your inventory. Thankfully, as intimidating as Logr’s attacks are, his weakness is also fairly obvious. He has a long cooldown between his attacks,especially when his durability is still up, and he doesn’t move a lot on the battlefield.
This allows you to use abilities that can take a long time to charge butcan have a huge impactsince Logr won’t simply teleport away.
Some of the best abilities to use for this fight areKarja’s Frost Impact and the Double Smash Duo skill. Once Logr enters the state where he performs the Wall of Orbs attack, it’s important to just focus on dodging till it’s over and then think of attacking him. Of course, if you have enough damage, you can also delete him before this attack can even happen.
