Black Myth: Wukongfeatures a huge variety of bosses that the Destined One has to fight against on his journey. To fight against these bosses, you’ll need to study their patterns and weaknesses to come out victorious.

The Second Sister is the first boss you will encounter in Chapter 4 of the game. It is a mandatory boss and must be defeated before you can progress further into the area. Fortunately, The Second Sister is quite easy to deal with once you figure out her weaknesses.

Zhu Bajie and The Destined One are temporarily transformed into lesser yaoguais in Black Myth: Wukong.

How To Find The Second Sister

The Second Sister can be found after knocking at the door near theEstate of the Zhu Shrine in the Village of Lanxi area. It will likely be the first shrine that you encounter after starting Chapter 4.

Right after you knock on the door, Zhu Bajie will temporarily turn himself andthe Destined One into Lesser Boar Yaoguai. As you enter the area, you’ll be greeted by The Second Sister in her human form. After a cutscene, The Second Sister will transform into her true form, which is that of a huge spider.

The Second Sister Attacks

As the first boss battle in Chapter 4, The Second Sister is fairly easy to deal with and most of her attacks aren’t too threatening, even if you get hit by them. You will also haveZhu Bajie helping you out during the fight, so you may also count on him to provide you with healing while you focus on dealing damage to the boss.

How To Avoid

Front Leg Combo

The Second Sister will strike the Destined One with her front legs. This is athree-attack combowhere she attacks with her left front leg, and then her right front leg. The final attack is where she strikes with both of her front legs at once.

This attack is easy to recognize and avoid. When you see herraise one of her front legs in the air, dodge to your back a couple of times, and you will be able to dodge the entire combo.

Abdomen Smash

The boss willshake her abdomen and then smash it on you.

Get away from the boss when you notice The Second Sister shaking her abdomen. You can easily get back bydodging or jumpingto avoid this attack.

Jumping Smash

The boss will jump into the air, smashing both of herfront legs on landing.

You candodge in any directionas you see the boss jump into the air, and you’ll be able to avoid this attack easily.

Front Leg Attack

The Second Sister will raise both of her front legs into the air, bringing them down on theDestined One to attack.

You can easily recognize this move when the boss raises both of her front legs into the air.Dodge to your backto easily avoid this attack and get out of her range.

Ground Slam

The Second Sister will smash herentire body on the ground, damaging anything and anyone in the vicinity.

While this attack covers the entire area around the boss, the range for this attack is relatively short and can be easily avoided bydodging to the back.

Fang Attack

The boss will raise herfangs into the air, and smash them on the groundin front of her to attack you. The boss may do a follow-up attack after this one.

When you see her raise her fangs into the air,dodge to your backto avoid this attack. Be wary of counter-attacking after dodging this attack because of the follow-up.

Flashing Front Leg Cross

You’ll notice the front legs of the boss flash for an instant before The Second Sister crosses them in an attempt to attack you.

This attack has a very short range, andyou’ll easily avoid itif you’re not in The Second Spider’s face.

Spinning Legs

The boss will attack you byspinning and dragging her legs on the ground. This attack covers a lot of range and is one of her approach tools.

Repeatedly dodge to the back as you see this attack coming, and you will be able to avoid it.

Spider Tackle

During her attacks, the boss may do a tackle where shethrows her entire body in your direction.

This attack is difficult to see but can be avoided by dodging just as the attack is about to hit you. Be wary ofthe follow-up attacksafter successfully avoiding this attack.

Poison Spray

The boss will back a little beforeshooting poison in your directionfrom her fangs.

The boss usually uses this attack at close range. You can easilyavoid this attack by dodging in any direction.

How To Defeat The Second Sister

The Second Sister is vulnerable to fire, so you should start by heading into the fight and using theRed Tidestransformation to deal as much damage as possible. Once you haveused all your Might, and de-transformed, you can start focusing on using your other spells, such asImmobilizeandCloud Stepto finish her off.

While using Red Tides, focus on using the light attacks to build up Qi and then use a special Heavy Attack to deal heavy damage to the boss.

You can also useA Pluck of ManySpell to quickly end the fight after using your Transformation and the Immobilize Spell. If you keeprushing down on the boss with attacks, you’ll be able to easily defeat her without having to worry about her attacks.

You will encounter many enemies that inflict poison in Chapter 4, just like The Second Sister. We recommend investing a few Sparks in the Bane Mitigation talent as that increases your resistance to the Four Banes, which includes poison.

You can also stay at a distance, only heading in to cast Immobilize and deal some damage, and then retreating again whileletting Zhu Bajie fightagainst the boss by himself. This strategy may take some time to take down the boss as Zhu Bajie doesn’t deal as much damage on his own, but if you’re having trouble with the boss, then this strategy might be helpful.

Rewards For Defeating The Second Sister

Defeating The Second Sister rewards you with aVenomous Hairand aGold Tree Core; the Venomous Hair allows you to create theChitin Staff, which provides80 Attack and 5 percent Critical Hit Chance. After defeating the boss, you will be able to jump into thepit ahead of the boss arena. However, there are plenty of things you should take care of before jumping into the pit.

From the boss arena, you canhead to your rightthrough the small opening between the houses tofind two Treasure Chests. You’ll find several Yaoguais in the area and will have to defeat them before being able to access the Treasure Chests.

After opening the Treasure Chests, head back to the boss arena and progress forward. You will find the pit but before jumping into it,head straight ahead,and you will find a golden container with aCelestial Jade Lotus Pillinside it. The Celestial Jade Lotus Pill will drastically increase your maximum health on discovery.

After you’ve gathered everything, you may head into the pit, where you willfall into a large web made by The Second Sisterand will be attacked by her. After the cutscene, you will wake up in another area with several medicines by your side.
