Quick Links
Reynatismay not be the most challenging game to have ever graced a home console, but the first boss of the game does hitextremelyhard. Worse yet, you are still early enough in the game that you won’t have unlocked all your combat abilities, and you’ll have to fight Titan alone.
We’ll take you through this first conflict with Titan and explain how you can really dismantle this massive, living boulder. We’ll also briefly rough upon the other versions of Titan you’ll encounter while you play the game (as they are largely the same, but they do gain access to a new attack or two). .
Titan’s Attacks
The Titan has a few different physical attacks. They will swat at you with an open palm with both hands. Sometimes alternating between the two. The Titan will also ball up its firsts, raise them above its head, and bring them down on top of you.Naturally, you can use the Liberation Burst mechanic to avoid all of these attacks. Additionally, Titan can charge up energy, and cause a massive explosion to erupt all around it.
Battle Strategy
When it comes to your battle with Titan, how smoothly the encounter will go depends almost exclusively on your use of the Liberation Burst mechanic. This move will beat all of Titan’s physical attacks. Chances are you haven’t fully grasped how to utilize this ability. However, it is the key to absolutely destroying the Titan. to make use of this mechanic, you need to be in your Suppressed mode (that’s when you have the hoody up).
Now,in the Suppressed mode, if you stand still while the Titan attacks you, a large circle will appear on the screen. Press and hold the dodge button until that circle fills, then release it once the circle is complete. This will charge your MP dramatically, and freeze time. Unload all your big attacks on Titan. Once you have unloaded on Titan, rinse and repeat. Don’t worry about draining all your MP, you’re going to get it all back.
When looking to initiate the Liberation Burst, you will want to stand still in front of Titan. Don’t run around it, and don’t dodge. You want the attack to connect. Just make sure you are in your suppressed form.
As I said earlier,Liberation Burst will beat all of Titan’s physical attacks. It will not, however, work against its explosion attack. So, when you see Titan charging up, you will want to get as much distance as possible.Thankfully, the radius of the attack will be visible, letting you know exactly how far you need to be. This attack is now frequently used, so you will only need to dodge it two or three times.
Later Versions Of Titan
You will fight Titan again as you progress through the game. Many, many times. It will get a few more attacks in later encounters, but you’ll fight it using the same tactic. The two moves that Titan will start using are an outstretched limb that will not trigger the Liberation Burst. So, if Titan looks purple, you should focus on evading that move. The other ability Titan will get is the ability to summon other enemies. These guys aren’t a big deal, so I wouldn’t even worry about them. Beyond that, Titan is the same as it ever was.
