Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocketnot only lets you collect some awesome cards, but you can also use them against other trainers in battles. The Pikachu Immersive card is one of the most cozy-looking ones, but apparently, it might not prove as relaxing for your opponent, especially if you combine it with a Raichu card.
The Raichu card may be a bit frail considering its HP, but if you play your cards right, it might even remain unscathed throughout the battle. The key is to use the right support card and items that can jeopardize an opponent’s battle plans. Using cards like Lt. Surge, you can even transfer your Pikachu ex energies to Raichu, making him ready for combat much faster.
What Cards Do You Need For A Pikachu EX And Raichu Deck
As your deck focuses onPikachu ex and Raichu, you should start building it while focusing on these cards the most. The other cards you will include in this Deck need to support them.
Most of these cards, includingPikachu ex, Electabuzz, Pikachu, Raichu, and Lt. Surge cards can be obtained from the Genetic Apex Pikachu packs. You can get theSabrina card from the Charizard pack, and the Giovanni card is obtainable from the Mewtwo pack; the rest of the cards can be bought from theShop using your Tickets.
We recommend you continue opening the Pikachu packs to obtain the majority of cards needed to complete your deck. You can get the remaining cards from the Point Pack Exchange instead.

If you don’t have these exact cards, there are a few excellent substitutes you can try out. If you are missing a single Pikachu ex card, you canuse a Zapdos ex card instead. You can substituteElectabuzz for Jolteon or Electrode, but Electrode is a better option here because it pairs well with Lt. Surge’s abilities.
Having two Lt. Surge cards will be very helpful in this deck if you want to apply energies faster to your Raichu, but if you have a single card, you can use a Potion or Giovanni as a substitute card.
Pikachu EX And Raichu Deck Strategy
YourRaichu card will be the main damage dealerin this deck, but using itsThunderbolt costs a lot of energy, which is why you need towork on your Pikachu ex on the side as well. Pikachu ex’s attack costs two Electric energies, which means you can charge it up faster touse its Control Circuitwhich also inflicts great damage to the enemies.
You should never play your Pikachu and evolved Raichu card as an active Pokemon if you haven’t assigned any energy to it. Use either a Pikachu ex or Electabuzz as your first Active Pokemon; if you want to take fewer risks,play Electabuzz first, as losing an ex-Pokemon at the start of the battle gives the opponent a lead by two points.
verify to have enough Pokemon on your bench to increase the maximum damage dealt by Circle Circuit, so use your Pokeballs to summon a few Electabuzz and Pikachu.
Electabuzz can take down an opponent’s basic Pokemon with its move by dealing 80 damageif you get lucky enough in a count toss, and you can even crush an opponent’s plan by using a Sabrina card to call any of the benched Pokemon in the active spot. This strategy can cause a significant setback if you just beat a card they were preparing to use their powerful moves.
At any phase during the battle, where the opponent sends out a card with 150 HP, you must take it down to secure your win,it will be your cue to send out your Raichu card.Use a Lt. Surge card to assign all Electric Energies on your benched cards to your Raichuand go for the kill. Before you send out your Raichu card,use an X Speed if you have it in your hand to reduce the retreat cost of the active Pokemon, you need to save up as much energy as you can.
If you don’t have a Lt. Surge card in your deck, assign an energy or two to your benched Raichu if your active Pokemon have enough energy to attack. You can retreat your active Pokemon for Raichu later. This makes your plan more consistent as you don’t have to depend on your luck that much.
Sometimes it all comes down to luck, which is why you should play safe,so sacrificing some Electabuzz to build your Raichu might also prove to be helpful. Though, a better strategy is retreating often as all Pokemon in this Deck do not have much HP. So, your priority should always focus on defeating the strongest cards first. If you did that.
Deck Matchups
The Pikachu ex and Raichu deck will work against some of the most powerful decks includingCharizard ex and Mewtwo ex. To beat both of them, you should just take down the opponent cards, when they are busy setting up energies on the bench. If youuse the Giovanni card here, you can defeat a Mewtwo with a single hit. For Charizard, you shoulddeplete the HP with your Pikachu and then finish off with your Raichu.
Do not let your opponent evolve your Charmeleon into Charizard, use Sabrina to force them to be an Active Pokemon.
You might have some troublebattling some fighting-type deckssince they are strong against your team and will inflict 20 more damage; take down the basic Pokemon to beat them as fast as you’re able to.If they evolve, their moves will become strongerandthey will one-shot your cards; on the plus side,Water-type decks will be very vulnerable to this match-upand even your Pikachu ex will be a strong ally as an active Pokemon.
