The third of the legendary dog Pokemon has arrived inPokemon Sleep. FromSeptember 2 through September 16, Suicune will have a chance to appear during your sleep research in this two-week event. This will give players the chance to complete the legendary set if they’ve caught Entei and Raikou previously.
This event is accompanied by bonuses, as well as differing buffs and Pokemon appearance rates that change from one week to the next. This guide will break down everything you need to know about the event and how to actively participate so that you have everything you need to succeed in subduing Suicune.
Suicune Research Event Information
While this eventrevolves around Suicune, the Aurora Pokemon and one of the three legendary dogs, it’s also aboutall the current Water-type Pokemonfeatured in the game.
There is also a secondary focus on the helpfulbonuses happening from week to week. Then, of course, there isthe Suicune Mane Exchange, which will be explored further in this guide.
The event isbroken up into two weeks. During thefirst week, you’re able to only take part in the event if you choose to sleep at Greengrass Isle, the first island that is open to you in the game.
In the second week, the event will be happening onGreengrass Isle, Cyan Beach, and Lapis Lakeside.
While some of the bonuses only apply to a single week at a time, some changes to the game will be happening betweenSeptember 2 and September 15. Those are:
Week One Bonuses And Missions
There isonly one additional bonusthat applies to the first week of the Suicune Research, and as you might imagine, it benefits your Water-type Pokemon.
The main skill levelof each of your Water-type helpers will beboosted by one. This means that if you have a Blastoise with level three Ingredient Magnet, it will behave as if they have the fourth-level version of that skill.
Accompanying your weekly missions, there will beevent-based missionsas well. These missions vary from week to week.During Week Oneof the event, the missions are:
Give out 15 biscuits
Stick to your bedtime 3 times
Suicune Mane (50)
Week Two Bonuses And Mission
The second week has a few bonuses happening at once.Main skillsof Pokemon will instead beboosted by three levels.
Another change is that aSnorlax with a higher rating will appear at the research siteyou selected. And, their starting power willfluctuate depending on where you’ve chosento conduct your research for that week.
Then, specifically onSunday,September 15, your drowsy power will be multiplied by 1.5.
Just like there were special missions on the first week,Week Two of the event also features six missionsthat, upon completion, will grant you more Suicune Mane. These missions are:
Cook 12 times
And, as if those weren’t already great benefits to you and your research, since you can pick three different locations to set up camp for the week, there are three sets of Pokemon that are more likely to appeardepending onwhich research site you pick.
Suicune Mane Exchange
You have a chance toaccrue Suicune Mane during the event, which can be used as a currencyat an event-only shop.
The most important things you can purchase with Suicune Mane areSuicune Incense and Suicune Biscuits, the latter of which, when fed to Suicune, increases their friendship counterby more thanthe bonus biscuit you receiveat the start of your first research.
And, as mentioned above, you can gain even more of this event-only Mane bycompleting the weekly missions.
Naturally, if you’re able to complete all of these missions, you will pocketmore of the important Maneto either give you more shots at seeing Suicune thanks to the incense, have a better chance at befriending Suicune thanks to the event biscuits, or buy other helpful items.
Event Bundles
As like with most of the events in Pokemon Sleep, there will bespecial bundles of three sizesyou can choose from and purchase. However, these bundles are also split up.
Three appear in the General Shop during Week Oneof the event, andthree appear in Week Two instead.
Week One Bundles
These bundlesare the more expensive grouping, but it’s due to the number and quality of the items that are included in each one.
This includesthe Ultra Biscuits, which can only be obtained in bundles like this, and by purchasing them in the General Shop for 400 diamonds a pop!
Week Two Bundles
The Week Two bundles are aptly named the Last Chance bundles since it’sthe final week of the event and the last week to find and befriend Suicune.
These are less expensive, but that’s because the bundles have been gutted to include essentials only:biscuits and Mane.
