You knew something weird was going on at Caledon University. Max has been traveling between two timelines, not to mention that weird picture showing Max pointing a gun at Safi. But, at the end of chapter three,Life is Strange: Double Exposuretakes things in an even weirder direction.
As the episode is nearing its conclusion, Max returns home to find thatsomeone has broken into her house. There’s glass on the floor, and her Arcadia Bay mementos and furniture have been ransacked. And, when she approaches her dark room to find the culprit, it turns out the person responsible for the breaking and entering is… familiar.
Chasing Down Max’s Doppelganger
Once the Other Max escapes your house, she’ll lead you on a chase through the snow. The first real obstacle arrives when the Other Max runs across atree bridgebut sends it toppling into the ravine once she reaches the other side.
Thankfully, you have access to another tree bridge on another ravine. Turn around, and you should see the blue sparkles signalinga Dead World swap point immediately behind you. Switch over, then cross the now-intact bridge.
There isn’t a path to the Living World on the other side of the log. Instead use Max’sPulseability to see the doppelgänger’sfootprints in the snow. Follow them, Pulsing every so often to make them reappear.
When Max says “How do I know which way?” pulsing will show you what the answer is: right.
Keep Pulsing and following until you reach a crack in a wall. Approach and a cutscene will trigger as Max squeezes through. Once on the other side, you’ll seethis bridge:
Look to the right to find a portal to the Living World and use it. Once you reach the other side, you’re ready to meet your doppelgangerbeneath the bridge.
