As the game’s title would suggest,Star Wars Outlawssees you interacting with the galaxy’s unsavory underbelly. When you aren’t running away from rival crime bosses, you’ll also have to dodge the attention of the mighty Galactic Empire and its legions of stormtroopers.
Should you run afoul of the law (tenuous as it may be in syndicate-controlled space), you’ll quickly become introduced to the Wanted system. All enemies in the area will be alerted of your presence, and other troopers will shoot you on sight if encountered in the open world. Luckily, there are a few different ways to clear your Wanted status, letting you resume your journey in peace.
How To Remove Wanted Status
You willbecome Wanted by breaking the law, such as bysneaking into the Empire’s restricted areasorengaging in firefights with stormtroopers. After enemies have found you,one of them will radio command, and the word"Wanted" will flash across your screen.
An Imperial insignia will alsoappear in the upper left-hand corner. It hassix segments, and if you continue to agitate the Empire, more pieces will light up, signaling larger waves of enemies being sent after you.
The Imperial presence will increase, withmore roaming patrolsandcheckpoints being established.
If you areat Wanted level five or below, you cansimply run and hide to clear your status.
However,if that isn’t possible, or you’re ina highly populated area, you’ll need touse one of the game’s other methodsto clear your name.
Slice Imperial Terminals
One of thesimplest ways to remove Wanted statusis toslice Imperial terminals. After all, if there’sno record of your crimes, the Empire won’t want anything to do with you.
These terminals can befound in strongholds or small checkpointsdotted around each planet (they can betracked on your mapafter you discover them organically).
After reaching the map marker, sneak past or kill any guards, then slice into the terminal anddelete your records.
Bribe Corrupt Officers
Despite what the Empire would like the galaxy to believe, there arequite a few bad eggs among their ranks. In this instance,it’s actually to your benefit, as there aremany officers who can be convinced to overlook your crimesfor a price.
Within every city you visit, there will be acorrupt Imperial official you can pay off. This will immediately get stormtroopers off your back, butthe required payout fluctuates depending on your Wanted level; expect toshell out a much higher sumfor level five than for level one.
Hack Satellites
Hacking the Empire’s satellitesrequires you to board the Trailblazerand travel to outer space.Once you’ve breached the planet’s atmosphere, you’ll be able toconsult the map and find a terminalfor your ship to interface with.
Place a waypoint, arrive at your destination, andfollow the on-screen prompt to reset your status. Just ensure not to get in any dogfights; youcan’t interact with the satellite until you’ve exited combat.
Defeat Death Trooper Camps
If you reachWanted level six, you will be notified thatyou’re now the subject of a manhunt. At this point, there will beonly one way to shake the Empire, and that’s byneutralizing the Death Troopers being sent to find you.
After the manhunt has been launched, theDeath Trooper squad will be marked on your map. Make your way there, butavoid open combatwith the Death Troopers;they can resist your blaster, making a head-on assault fruitless.
Instead, find the commanding officerand take them down quietly.Grab their keycard, and you canuse the terminal in the camp to erase your Wanted status.
