After completing the first mission in theCall of Duty: Black Ops 6campaign, Bishop Takes Rook, you’ll gain access to the Rook, a customizable safe house filled with puzzles and hidden treasures. you may complete the puzzles at almost any point in the game, and the reward of $1,000 cash to put towards perks and upgrades is more than worth your time.
The first two puzzles in the Black Ops 6 safe house can be completed in any order, but the third is locked first behind a secret stairway door and then behind a second, unpowered door. The third puzzle is the most complex of the three, but we’ll cover how to complete all of them here.
How To Complete All Safe House Puzzles
The three safe house puzzles in Black Ops 6 are unique and require different techniques to solve. The three puzzles and the order you’re likely to complete them in are:
You must solve both the piano and boiler puzzles to access the locked basement,where you can then find the puzzle that reveals the code to the safe in the bedroom on the safe house’s second floor.
You’ll need a black light to uncover some of the secret clues to solving two of the puzzles.From the mission control room with the evidence board and acquisition desk, head out into the main hall, turning right into the room with the piano in the corner.The blacklight is on the table across from the piano.
You can use the blacklight whenever you’re at the Rook between missions. With the piano being so close, best to solve that puzzle now to get it out of the way.
How To Solve The Safe House Piano Puzzle
There are two parts to solving the piano puzzle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The first is discovering the order of notes you need to play, and the second is playing them.
How To Find The Notes For The Piano Puzzle
To find the notes you need to play in the piano puzzle,you need to use the blacklight on the walls of the piano room, starting behind the piano itself, to reveal a series of symbols written in the Russian alphabet. From the first hidden symbol, track the walls clockwise around the room, using the arrows near each symbol to guide you.
First symbol, behind the piano:MИ
Second Symbol, above the fireplace: Pe
Third Symbol, above the door across from the piano and underneath the pictures:CИ
Fourth symbol, above the door to the left of the piano:Дo
Fifth symbol, below the painting of the bridge and to the left of the chair holding towels:Pe
With all of the symbols collected, you can head over to the piano and play the right order of notes. Thankfully, you won’t be flying blind here. Interact with the piano to open a sub-screen with a section of the keys visible.
Activate the blacklight, andmove it to the headboard above the keys, revealing a set of the same symbols you saw on the walls.
To open the secret door, you need to hit the correct keys in the order presented on the walls:MИ, Pe, CИ, Дo, Pe. In musical notation, the order you want on the keyboard would be: E, D, B, C, D.
Once you enter the right order of notes, the secret door will open.
You won’t be able to get through the locked door at the bottom of the newly-revealed staircase. You’ll need to complete the boiler puzzle to unlock it.
How To Solve The Safe House Boiler Puzzle
Thankfully, the boiler puzzle is much more straightforward than the piano one.
To reach it, take the door on the right side of the hallway near the room with the evidence board.
All you need to do here is turn a few valves and press a button.The order matters, as does the needle on a gauge near the boiler and fuel lines.
There’s even a message to the right of the pilot light that says you should only “fill the boiler with water once the flame is good and steady.” To accomplish that, activate the valves and pilot light in this order:
If you did everything correctly, you’ll hear another buzz, then several dings to indicate power’s been restored.Head back to the hidden staircase by the pianoand take it down. You can now open the door at the bottom.
How To Solve The Safe House Basement Puzzles
The basement of the safe house is a series of small puzzles that eventually lead to the code for the bedroom safe on the second floor of the safe house. Once you enter the basement complex, your only path forward is to the right, through a door locked by a keypad.
To unlock the keypad door, follow these steps:
If you ever reach the five-code limit per decryption log,you can exit the keypad screen and try again.
The keypad code and fingerprints will change each time you enter the keypad screen, so it’s best to solve the problem the first attempt to avoid wasting time.
Once you get through the keypad door, head into the room beyond, then turn left twice to find a small alcove with a computer you need to hack.
Hacking the computer is a simple relationship puzzle using a cipher.
The order words appear will be random, but solving the puzzle is the same process:
You’re looking to spell out four words that make a statement:“open holding cell room.”
Exit the room with the computer and turn right, then head down the hallway until you reach a previously locked door. Head inside and pick the lock to the red-lit room.
Picking locks in Black Ops 6 is simple:turn the pick until the pin rises and is surrounded by a white glow.
Keep the pick in that position for a couple of seconds until it goes all the way up and a checkmark appears above it. Do this three times to unlock the room.
Inside the red-lit room, on the table next to the chair, is a key you’ll need to pick up.
Key in hand, exit the holding cell and return to the main hallway intersection.Head right, away from the computer room, until you reach a locked door where a “Singal Detected"icon will appear.
Inside, you’ll need to tune the radio on top of the shelf, beneath the Mickey Houston and Massacre on Mars posters.
Align the white waveboth vertically and horizontallywith the green wave.
Once the white wave matches the shape of the green one, a message begins to play.The message is the key to deciphering the safe code.
Listen carefully to the message. Four of the spoken words will be heavily emphasized, andeach emphasized word relates to a number written on various locations and items around the room.
Use the blacklight to reveal the hidden numbers associated with each word on the recording. If the recording says something about a “‘rocket ship,” you want the number “0” next to the toy rocket on the radio shelf, and so on.
There are multiple versions of the correct code, making each playthrough of the puzzle unique.The numbers on the walls do not change, but the words emphasized will.
Once you have the right code, head up to the safe on the second floor, enter the code, and the safe will open,revealing a valuable coin worth $1,000.
With that,you’ve solved all the safe house puzzles in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6and can continue the campaign.
