Activating theWindhill Shores Waypointwill give you access to the region’s side quests, withThe Truth About Back Alleysbeing one of them, allowing you to track its starting location on your map. From here,fast travel to Kastleton,thenhead south of the town squareto theshorelineto reach another section ofWindhill Shores.
Check For Traces Of The Magic Circle
Once you’re inWindhill Shores,head toward the marker tofind a Magic Circle Trace on the ground near the shoreline.Interact with the Magic Circle Trace to gather more information, allowing you to continue to the next step of the side quest.
Check For Traces Of The Magic Circle In Kastleton
From here,turn around and head back into Kastleton from the beachof Windhill Shores.Follow the markerto findanother Magic Circle Trace on the groundnear a boat. A man namedJaydin will be kneeling down in the Magic Circleexamining it, too. Just do the same to keep the quest moving.
Talk To Jaydin
After examining the second Magic Circle Trace,speak with Jaydin, the Kastleton Guard,who was also looking it over when you arrived.Exhaust the dialogue with Jaydin to complete this step of the quest,leading you directly to the final part of The Truth About Back Alleys.
Follow Arkeum’s Trail
Finishing your conversation with Jaydin,follow the marker further into Kastletonto find aCat-Shaped Magic Circle.Interact with this unique Magic Circle to complete this quest. From here,walk slightly forward to trigger a cutsceneshowing asuspicious catrunning into Kastleton;follow the catin to beginSuspicious Track.
How To Complete Suspicious Track In Throne And Liberty
Suspicious Trackis the continuation of The Truth About Back Alleys side quest in Throne and Liberty. Itbegins as you follow the suspicious cat into Kastletonafter looking over the Cat-Shaped Magic Circle. After following the cat inside, it will mysteriously be gone as if it vanished into thin air, having youlook around for clues and attempt to lure it out.
Listen To The Talking Villagers
With the suspicious cat seemingly gone in the blink of an eye, youmust get information.Luckily for you, there will bethree Talking Villagers directly to the leftspeaking about the cat and how strange it has been behaving lately.Walk up to the fishing nets and eavesdrop on their conversationto continue the quest.
Look For Fresh Fish And Place It On The Road
Directly across from the three Talking Villagerswill beFresh Fishunderneath a canopy.Grab one of the fish and then place it on the roadto lure the suspicious cat out. After placing the fish on the road,head back to where you initially grabbed the fish and hide behind the boxthere to catch the cat, which will run a bit forward, seemingly vanishing once more.
Talk To The Distressed Wizard
Now that the cat has seemingly vanished yet again, aDistressed Wizard will appear,speak with them, andexhaust their dialogueto eventuallybe turned into a smallyet extremely adorablemouse.This Morph will allow you totail the suspicious cat more stealthily,enabling you to see its true intentions.
Follow The Suspicious Cat
Since you’re now a tiny mouse, you will betailing the catwhile being substantially more discreet than before. However,there will be beartraps you must avoid, and you can’t stay out in the open for long, as the cat will spot you,resetting your progress.
Wait for the cat to move forwardand thenquickly run behind the stack of boxes in the centerof the pathway. You will see aseries of boxes to your left, stacked in a straight lineleading toward the exit.After the cat moves forwarda bit more,speedily move behind these boxes and follow them to the end.
There will be asizable gap between where you are now and the following stack of boxesyou must move to, sowait until the cat moves beyond the next series of boxesbefore running across to them.After the cat passes underneath the alcove,tail slowly behind ituntil itruns off to the right.Race after it to see itmeet up with two other cats,triggering a brief cutscene.
Defeat The Arkeum Legion
Surprise,the suspicious cat was actually a member of the Arkeum Legion,and it just met up with two more members. Despite their scary presence,this encounter isn’t too challenging,and youshould be able to make quick work of themif you’re at leastLevel 10(which you likely will be by now).
Defeating the three Arkeum Legion members will haveJaydinappear, allowing you tospeak with him once more to finish this long-winded side questand obtain the last of your rewards!
