The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomis filled with cute little quests. Zelda is a woman of the people, so even as Hyrule is being ravaged by evil demons and swallowing people into a parallel dimension, she is happy to spend a few hours helping folks out.
And that includes a young boy who has an obsession with spherical goo monsters. You don’t normally see those casually wandering around Castle Town, so Zelda can use her echoes to bring them forth to put a smile on the kid’s face. Here’s how to make it happen.
How To Complete The Curious Child Quest
Despite the fact Zelda is undercover in the early parts of Echoes of Wisdom and can’t gain access to Hyrule Castle, she can still explore most of Castle Town without any trouble. You will find the Curious Child quest in the bottom left corner beneath the well that leads into the castle’s secret entrance.
Head there and you will see a boy with the words “Zols, Zols, Zols” drifting from his mind. It turns out his Dad has an encyclopedia of monsters from across the land, and it’s his dream to meet some of them. With a flick of her staff, Zelda can make that wish come true.
Talk to the boy andhe will first ask you to summon a normal green Zol, one of the first echo creatures you will have encountered after escaping the castle dungeon. Pull that out of your inventory and summon one right in front of the boy. He will scream in delight, but then will be distracted by the fact that Zols that can spew fire also exist.
You can find the Zol, Ignizol, and Hydrozol inHyrule Field, Gerudo Desert, and Faron Wetlands, respectively. The third is easily the most out of the way and a later game area.
Next, hop into your inventory and equip the Ignizol echo. Stand a bit further away before you summon this one, becausethe boy can react negatively to the sudden presence of fire. But once again, he’s delighted, but like most pesky children, he wants more. Next up is Hydrozol.
However, you can’t just summon one of these and call it a day. The boy wants them filled to bursting with water, which makes things a little more complicated. Summon one in a normal state and the boy won’t be pleased, so walk away from the area, bring one forth, anduse the Water Block echo or a nearby body of water to make him increase in size.
Once he’s big enough, use Zelda’s staff to carry him over to the quest location. You’ll put a big smile on the boy’s face and receive a rarePower Crystalfor your troubles.
