Haunted Labyrinth is a limited-time dungeon inThrone And Liberty, available during the Haunted Harvest event that runs from October 25 to November 13. The dungeon takes you into a battle with spooky ghosts, pumpkins, and the final boss,Lord Embergourd.There are a few new mechanics we haven’t seen before, and this guide will walk you through the fights step-by-step.
The Haunted Labyrinth can only be accessed by redeemingCandy Corn. You will receive one Candy Corn upon logging into the game, and another Candy Corn can be purchased from the Haunted Peddler who roams the map.
Haunted Labyrinth Walkthrough
The dungeon begins simply enough, with a few pumpkin-related enemies to defeat.
Then you’ll enter a room full of pumpkins and it’ll ask you tofind the key in the pumpkins.
you’re able to interact with pumpkins to find a key to open the door. This will lead you to thePumpkin Cart.
Pumpkin Cart Refueling
Once you’ve gone on the mystical Pumpkin Cart ride over the abyss, you’ll need tocollect three pumpkinsto refuel the cart.
These can be found beyond the door at the top of the stairs. You’ll need to interact with the pumpkins that have an icon above them.
You can’t open the locked door while you’re carrying a pumpkin, so verify to get your friends to help you.
Once the pumpkin is refueled, you’ll be able to travel across another canyon. ensure to block thePumpkin Lancer’s attacks,otherwise they’ll thrust you into the deep - guaranteed death.
Pumpkin Watch Captain
The first mini-boss of the dungeon, the Pumpkin Watch Captain is simple enough, but he does have a few mechanics to watch out for.
During the fight, he will spawn three pumpkins that chase players. Players can walk into the graves to remove the pumpkins. If players fail to do so, they will become entrapped in apumpkin prison.Other players can break this to release them.
Pumpkin Indiana Jones
Even if you haven’t watched Indiana Jones, you probably know the famous scene with the large boulder. This puzzle is essentially that.
Every player is transformed into a rolling pumpkin. If you are hit by either of the two large pumpkins,you’ll instantly die. Players need tododge the marks on the floorandhide in doorwayswhile the pumpkins roll past.
This takes a little bit of getting used to - make sure to use the timing of the pumpkins to progress.
Only one player actually needs to complete the puzzle. Once they’ve done so, the respawn in the boss room will open, and you can roll right into one of those large pumpkins to instantly spawn in the final room.
Lord Embergourd Boss Fight Guide
Now on toLord Embergourd, the final boss of the Haunted Labyrinth Dungeon.
There are four main mechanics to prepare for in this fight: a telegraphed AoE attack, a large wave of moving pumpkins, and a phase where you are transformed into insects.
AoE Attack
Lord Embergourd has a telegraphed attack that is easy to dodge.A ring spawns on the surrounding ground. Move out of the highlighted area. Then prepare to move back immediately again to get into range of the boss. He does do quite a lot of damage if you get caught.
Pumpkin Lanterns
During the Pumpkin Lanterns phase, Embergourd will spawnthree bellsin a triangle around him. These can be pushed into the boss byattacking them.If you don’t knock them into him on time, they give Embergourd a massive shield.
Pumpkin Wave
Embergourd spawns a large moving wave of pumpkins.Some pumpkins will be highlighted, which means they can be attacked and destroyed.If you fail to do so, players will become entombed inside the pumpkins while the boss does big damage to you.
Insect Transformation
One of the final phases of the fight is when Embergourd transforms the entire party into insects.
He will periodically make alarge AoE attackthat can be dodged by pressing “1” on your keyboard, or the relative button on your controller. This will make your insect land and dodge the attack.Watch out for the bats!
Keep pushing on until you reach the highlighted ring around the boss.
