For this Research Day, there will be two Pokemon featured, bothOranguru and Passimian,giving you a great opportunity to catch both of their Shiny variations.

The Oranguru and Passimian Research Day will take place onSunday, June 29, 2025, active from 2pm local time to 5pm local time.In addition to this event featuring Oranguru and Passimian, there will be different bonuses and features available as well; read on for all you need to know about this event.

This Research Day will be featuring two different Pokemon instead of just one, bothOranguru and Passimian. Being the featured Pokemon for this event,these two Pokemon will have increased odds of being Shinyduring this event; Shiny Passimian making its Pokemon Go debut at this event.

There will also beTimed Research available for purchasefor this Research Day, unlocking additional challenges and rewards for those that purchase it. This Paid Timed Research will cost$2.00 USD, and is available for purchase at the Pokemon Go in-game shop.

Completing the different tasks that make up this Timed Research will reward you withadditional encounters with both Oranguru and Passimian. The featured Pokemon that are encountered through this Timed Researchwill have the same boosted Shiny oddsas those encountered through Field Research Tasks.

Although you have to purchase this Timed Research, it will only be available to complete for a limited time.

Those purchasing this Timed Research will have tocomplete all tasks and claim all rewards before the conclusion of this Research Day.
