InAle & Tale: Tavern, there are numerous magical creatures lurking in the forest, swamp, ruins, and cave. Every location holds secrets for you to uncover, allowing you to explore to your heart’s content while managing your tavern on the side. However, everything comes together to create an adventure you’ll never see coming.
As you draw near to the end of the main campaign, you’ll find a fairy in need of your assistance. It involves completing a dangerous ritual and surviving the waves of enemies that swarm you during the process. We’ll help you do it all and come out on top to get your rewards!
Where To Find The Fairy
Once the merchant tells you about thestrange lights in the swamp, you’ll need to make your way there to find the source.Head north, well past the tavernand the forest, to reach the bogfilled with toads and zombies.
There are several groups of little green lights littered throughout the swamp, but you can ignore those. Instead, keep an eye out for theruined structures and stones. You’ll find a littleglowing fairy floating next to an altar.
The other ruins in the swamp have a recipe scroll resting on top!
How To Complete The Ritual
Speak to the fairyto learn about a centuries-old ritual that seals away evil. However, it’s time torefresh the sealand you are the chosen one! The danger is high, but you cantry as many times as neededto complete the ritual and claim your reward.
All you need to do istouch the altarto start. When you do, portals will open up andmonsters will comepouring out. These monsters willtarget the runesaround the altar, and you need todefend the runes from being destroyed.
If you die or if the runes are destroyed, you’ll have tostart all overfrom the first wave.
Wave One
The first wave is the easiest. Only one green portal will open, andthree wolves will come chargingout. Two will come out first, then the third willarrive as reinforcementsafter a short time.
You canfight them with everythingat your disposal. Themusket is the best weaponto use to deal damage whilekeeping your distance, but make sure you have enough ammo to stay alive. Keep a sword on your person just in case you need a backup weapon.
Once the wolves are defeated, the wave is over, and you can catch your breath beforereturning to the altarto start the next round.
If you need to heal,head back to the tavernto make some food or brew some potions! So long as youdon’t die along the way, you won’t lose your progress in the gauntlet.
Wave Two
In the second wave,two portals will open. This time,hornets will swarmthe area. The yellow ones will get up close and strike the runes while the purple ones will hang back.
Thecrossbow and musketare great options, but you canbait the hornetswith the sword in a pinch.
Thankfully, the purple oneswon’t target youuntil you strike them, so focus on removing the regular hornets first. These attack faster and are more immediate threats. Once they’re dispatched, cut down the remaining purple hornets.
Keep an eye on the runes! Whicheverneeds your attention moreat the moment should be your focus, depending on how much damage the hornets deal before you reach them.
Wave Three
In the third wave, you’ll have to fight off not justwolves and hornets, but spiders,too! Three portals will open and release enemies all at once. Ranged weapons are your best bet todraw attention awayfrom the runes.
Bring regeneration potionsto help offset any damage you take!
Make sure toloot everything at the endso you may focus on staying alive. You may miss a few monster parts, but there are always more monsters to find in the forest.
Once you’ve defeated all the enemies and completed the ritual,return to the fairy. You’ll receive the chosen one’s sword: a regular old sword–but it’s yours now! That makes it special.
