While exploring the Black Howl Plains inThrone and Liberty, many players will come across Sheep Morphstones that are scattered around this area. While it is not obvious why they have been placed at such random locations, you can open your codex to check that they are actually a part of an exploration quest.
Exploration quests in Throne and Liberty are smaller side missions which offer Sollat, EXP, and various other items as rewards for completing certain tasks. The Sheepish Reconnaissance mission is also an exploration quest for the Blackhowl Plains in which you must turn into a sheep to complete a local tradition.
How To Start Sheepish Reconnaissance Quest
To start the sheepish reconnaissance quest,first head to the Western Campsite located north of the Blackhowl Plainsway-point andspeak with the NPC hunter standing next to the Sheep Morphstone. After exhausting the dialogue, you willlearn about a traditional journeyevery hunter must complete to test their courage.
Once you have spoken with the hunter, you’re able to nowparticipate in the tradition yourself. To complete the next steps of the quest, you must nowinteract with the Pilgrimage Stones at three different locationswith the Sheep Morph Status.
There arethree Pilgrimage stones in totalandeach must be reached in the orderthat is specified in the Codex. Thus, you cannot interact with the Pilgrimage Stone at the Western Campsite first.
All Pilgrimage Stone Locations In The Sheepish Reconnaissance
While completing the next parts of the quest, you musttravel across the Blackhowl Plains while morphing into a sheepand interact with three Pilgrimage stones at three different places.Pilgrimage stones are dark statues of Hammel, the sacred deer of the Backhowl Plains who protected the area before the wolves invaded.
Here is the exact order in which you must complete the quest:
As you travel through the Blackhowl plainsyou will be targeted by the hostile wolveswhich are present in the area. Make sure toavoid them as much as possiblesinceyou will lose your sheep morph if they successfully attack you. If you are being chased by a wolf, thenremember to use the dash skill in your sheep formto outrun them.
Once you are back at the Western Campsite, the Sheepish Reconnaissance quest will be officially complete, andyou will receive the final rewardsfor completing the quest.
