One of the most interesting narrative conceits ofRomancing Saga 2: The Revenge of the Sevenis that the primary antagonists were, at one point, heroes. In the original game, their exploits weren’t really explored. However, all that has changed with this remake. As you progress through the game, you will find curious, glowing paths.
Following these paths will lead you to a magical podium of sorts. Once you interact with it, you will be shown a memory of seven heroes. While you aren’t rewarded in any explicit way by uncovering all fifteen, youwillearn a trophy for doing so. Most of these memories are pretty easily located, but when you miss one it can be an absolute pain to find it (as I found out by writing this guide). Allow me to remove the guesswork.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 1 - Kzinssie’s Mansion
The first memory is located on the first floor ofKzinssie’s Mansion, which is located inSomon(this is all part of the main quest, so it is pretty hard to believe that you could miss it). Follow the glowing trail and you’ll be fine.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 2 - Fiend’s Cloister
The second memory is found in theFiend’s Cloister. This is located in the section after you defeat theGel Matter. It will be on your left, and you can follow that signature glowing trail right to the podium.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 3 - Gemstone Mine
The third memory is in theGemstone Mine. After entering the mind by way of the elevator, head down the central path, and the memory will be tucked away at the end of a shaft on the east side of the map. It will be yoursecondright you can take.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 4 - Eastern Subterrane
The fourth memory is in the Eastern Subterrane. It is in the northeast corner of the map, you’ll encounter the glowing path near the end of the stage, veering to the right. You’ll need to scale the nearby rock structure to get up to it.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 5 - Castle Douglas
The fifth memory is inCastle Douglas. If you take a left once you enter the castle, you’ll see that glowing trail.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 6 - The Steppe
The sixth memory is in The Steppe. You’ll find it dead center ofThe Steppe, is a little west of the save point. From the save point, you’ll follow the glowing trail down and around and into a cave below.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 7 - Seer’s Citadel
The seventh memory is in theSeer’s Citadel. Instead of entering the citadel, circle it on the right, and you’ll find this memory tucked behind it.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 8 - Witch’s Sanctum
The eighth memory is found in theWitch’s Sanctumon the east end of the map.The Mermaid questwill require you to visit the witch living here, you’ll find this memory just a little north of her home.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 9 - Termite Den
The ninth memory is located in the northeast corner of theTermite Den. It is just after the part of the stage where the path spirals down to the bottom level - which is near the end of the first part of the den and where you will find the entrance to the Mole Den.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 10 - Teretuva Tower
The tenth memory is in the southmostTeretuva Tower(as seen on the map). Or, if you are staring at the central tower, it will be on your left. The memory is in the northeast corner of the third floor.
If you are in the tower with Mr. S, then you are in thewrongtower.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 11 - Salamat
The eleventh memory is inSalamat. You’ll find this memory on the northeast path - the one that leads to Mowlie.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 12 - Eirunup Tower
The twelfth memory is in theEirunup Tower(which is part of the Eirunep location). You’ll find it on the second floor, on the east side of the room (tucked behind the tree). You can hop down one of the holes on the third floor and find it easily.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 13 - Castle Chonto
The thirteenth memory is inCastle Chonto. You’ll find it on the Secondary Outworks 3F. On the Secondary Outworks 2F you’ll see the glowing path leading straight up the stairs.
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 14 - Forgotten Town
The Fourteenth memory is found in the Forgotten Town. You’ll find it by working through the Iris Village, which you reach via Mt. Chikapa. You’ll find the memory in the hole behind the house where Orieve is (which is the house in the center of the map).
Memories Of The Seven Heroes 15 - Snowdrifts
The final memory is in the Snowdrifts. You’ll locate this memory partway through the stage, not long before you reach the Den of Umbrage. This one is pretty damn hard to miss, as the glowing path is pretty out in the open.
You’ll be able to unlock the Snowdrifts by defeating six of the seven heroes.
