Waking Reverie Photoshoots
Waking Reverie is a Photoshoot eventsimilar to Rafayel’s Twilight Comrades eventwhich aired in September. During the ten-day event period, you are tasked withcreating seven promotional posterswith Sylus.
Each day of the event, you are given a simple,single-sentence promptfor your photoshoot. The prompt offers hints at whatitems and posesto use in your poster photoshoots for that day.
Sometimes, the prompts are as simple asincorporating photo elements of a certain coloror style. Other times, the prompts will be a little vague and ask you torecreate a certain feeling. The subjective prompts can get a little tedious, but we’ve got you covered!
How To Complete Photoshoots
Upon first entering the event screen, you will be thrown directly into theevent prologue. During the prologue, OTTO-PHO, the photography robot, asks you if you andyour partner, Sylus, would like to participate in apromotional event for Twinkle Photo Studio. The theme of the shoot is ‘Amusement Park’.
When you’re ready to start the photoshoot, open the main event menu andselect the open poster slotyou would like to complete.
A new posterunlocks each day, but you’re able to only play posters in order, so make sure youcheck in regularlyto stay on top of your progress.
Selecting a poster will automatically throw you intoTwinkle Photo Studio’s Snapshot screen. At the top right of the Photo Studio page is a little chat box with the prompt for the poster.
Using theprompt as a guide, select outfits, poses, and backgrounds tomatch what OTTO-PHO is looking for. The most important element of the prompy with behighlighted in bold text. Next, continue taking snapshots like usual.
Once you’ve taken the necessary photos for the prompt, you can go in andadd stickers and overlaysto the final photo.
Stickers and filters bothcount towards the promptof the photoshoot. Sometimes, you may not have good poses or outfits for the prompt, so it’s worth it toadd stickers to your imageat the end of the shoot.
After taking all of your photos, you will get a chance tosave the photosto your album and select a photo tosubmit for that day’s posterprompt.
Once you select the photo you want to submit, you may’t go backand access any other photos you took during that shoot. You will have torestartthe entire shoot if you want to select another photo.
After submitting a photo for the prompt, you aregiven a star rating. The goal is to getthree starson every poster. If the photo you submitted does not perform as well as you’d like, you canrestart the shoot. If you like the final photo, select the print buttonto finalize the poster.
You have a total of20 Printing Attemptsper day, which means you can amend your photoshoots 20 times each day.
Tips For Completing Each Prompt
Since a new prompt drops every day, we willupdate you each dayon which items, poses, and outfits perform the best for that prompt, so check back frequently for tips!
These are just the elements that worked for us. There areplenty more combinationsto experiment with, so we encourage you to experiment with different poses, backgrounds, and accessories to see what works for you.
In general, thebest wayto get three stars on a poster is toincorporate as many elements as possible. Make sure you’re using accessories, outfits, stickers, and especially duo poses. This is a photoshoot for couples, so try toavoid solo shots!
Poster One
The prompt for the first poster is: ‘As you tap the shutter, add a touch ofgoldto make it look sparkling.’
For this prompt, try to incorporate as manygolden elementsas you can.
Adding jewelryto your character or Sylus can count as using golden elements.
For this poster, we had success using the following elements in our final photo:
Poster Two
The prompt for the second poster is: ‘Laughing out loud whilecapturingall your joyful moments in the amusement park.’
This prompt is a classic example of a prompt thatdoesn’t give you specific instructions. Since joy is an emotion that is unique from person to person, there’sno way to predictwhat OTTO-PHO is looking for.
When we completed our photos, we decided to make our shots lookas ridiculous as possible. These are the elements that worked best for us:
If you complete poster one with three stars and get at least one star on poster two, you willearn the first progress reward.
Poster Three
The prompt for the third poster is: ‘How will he react at theamusement park? Capture the moment to find out.’
This prompt is yet anotherdifficult oneto fulfill. To complete this poster, we went through a considerable amount oftrial and error. This prompt has been themost difficultone to fulfill yet.
Unlike the first two posters, poster three isnot a Snapshotposter. To complete the shoot for this poster you will need to create astriking image in Glint Photobooth.Since Glint Photobooth ismore complicatedthan Snapshot, you will needmore elementsin your final photo to complete the prompt with a three-star rating.
Here are the items and backgrounds that worked well for us:
After completing poster three with three stars — given you have completed both prior posters with three stars — you willearn the second event progress reward.
Poster Four
The prompt for the fourth poster is: ‘The secret to capturing the exclusive atmosphere of the park:bold styling and relaxed poses.’ This poster is yet again aGlint Photoboothshoot and not a snapshot.
Luckily, this prompt provides you witha little more guidanceas to what elements to incorporate in the poster photoshoot. Since the prompt is asking for ‘bold styling and relaxed poses,’ try to focus on picking styling elements (outfits and acessories) that youwouldn’t normally thinkto pick.
For a relaxed pose, try to pick a pose where both the player character and Sylus areinteracting calmly. As always, this should be aduo posefor the best results.
The following items worked well for us when we completed the shoot with three stars:
After completing this shoot and all others with three stars, you willearn the fourth event progress reward.
Poster Five
The prompt for the fifth poster is: “In the amusement park that goes round and round, capture thecircleexclusive to you!'
Since themost importantpart of this prompt is’circle,‘we tried to choose as manycircular or round items, accessories, and stickers as possible for this shoot. And, of course, you and Sylus are already in the inner circle!
Shaking things up again, poster five is aSnapshot photoshootrather than a Glint Studio shoot. This means you’ll have access tomore exclusive backdropsand poses that aren’t available in Glint Studio. We still highly recommend submittingduo posesfor this shoot!
Here are the items that worked best for us when completing poster prompt five with three stars:
Poster Six
The prompt for the sixth poster is: ‘Take a photo of thebirdsflying through the amusement park and keep them in your memories.’
This photoshoot is yet anotherGlint Photobooth shoot, and luckily, the prompt gives us some moresolid leadsto work with this time. The prompt asks you toincorporate birds or bird-like elements, so attempt to focus on any accessories that havebirds or feathers.
While most photoshoots will only give you two comments at the end of the shoot, some will give you four. Since we used a face covering that goes over Sylus’s and the player character’s eyes, we even gotspecial commentsabout wearing eye patches!
Here are the items we used to earn three stars on poster six:
Don’t forgetthat you can always alter your lighting, wind direction, pose positions, and camera angleat anytime in Glint Photobooth.
Forextra fun and flare, we took our Glint Photobooth studio from a low angle to make it lok like Sylus and the player character were looking down at the camera like birds flying high. We’re not sure if it affected our points, but it sure looks good!
After completing this prompt and all prior prompts with three stars, you will earn thefinal event progress reward.
Poster Seven
Poster seven is thefinal posterin the photoshoot lineup and marks theend of the event.
The prompt for the seventh poster is: ‘Create the mostjoyfulambiance for your amusement park photos and impress everyone with loving interactions and a signature smile.’
This prompt is yet anotheridea-basedprompt. There’sno objective cluesas to how to complete the prompt, but we aimed forlighter colors, asnugglyduo pose, andSylus’s signature smile— not smiling at all.
Here are the items we used to complete the final photoshoot with three stars:
After completing poster seven, regardless of how many stars you earn on your final photo, you will trigger the last story stage of the event.
Story Schedule
Alongside the poster prompts, there arefour story stagesto complete during the event. Unlike prompts, story stagesdon’t update each day. Instead, story stages unlock aftercompleting certain posterphotoshoots.
Here is the schedule for when each story stage of Waking Reverie unlocks:
Chapter Three - In Your Eyes
Complete all Poster Photoshoots.
After completing each story stage, you will be able to replay the story from theLove Timeline tab in the With Himmenu. This means you canreplay these event stages even after the event ends!
Youdon’thave to complete the poster with three stars to trigger the event story. If you want to trigger the story early, justtake any snapshotand submit it. You willautomatically triggerthe next story stage in the event.
