Cowardly Maya Boss Battle Overview

The teammates we used during the Cowardly Maya fight are:

Most of the three Shadows' affinities don’t play well together, so you’ll need to be careful in your attack choices during the fight with Cowardly Maya in Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis.
How To Beat Cowardly Maya
When the battle begins, though the Cowardly Maya is the primary Shadow here, you’llstill need to deal with Crying Table and Wondrous Magusall the same. The trickiest part of all of this is thatall three Shadows have different affinities, and what one is weak to, another will likely either resist or repel.
The most important thing is tomake liberal use of the Shift abilityafter hitting a weakness in this battle. With so many conflicting affinitiesin this battle between the three Shadows, if you’re not able to block the damage type, you’ll be hurting yourself for every group attack that one of the Shadows is able to repel.
Another thing to be mindful of isyour teammates' weaknesses. This is why we left Akihiko out in the lobby despite his excellent Electric magic - his weaknesses to the Wondrous Magus' relentless Ice attacks makes him a massive liability during the fight. Aigis is the toughest to keep straight, sinceAigis has the affinities of the Persona she’s currently using.
A lot of Personas that Aigis has access to can deal good damage of these kinds of magic, but they’ll be left susceptible to the magic types being used back against her, so always be mindful of Aigis' affinities - you’ll need to restart if Aigis gets KO-ed, so be extremely careful of her health above all others.
Because of the lack of communal weaknesses, the best bet for this fight is touse single-target magic moves when possibleto avoid getting anyone else hurt. Assign teammates to take care of each Shadow and make sure they keep homing in on the elemental weakness that grants them the one-more attack.
You can easilystring together one-more attacks that shift to other teammatesif you plan out which teammate attacks which Shadow. For example, if Ken uses Zionga on Cowardly Maya, toss it to Koromaru to use Agilao on Wondrous Magus, and then finish it up with Metis hitting Crying Table with Bufula, you’ll have downed each of the three Shadows and can launch an all-out attack to deal massive damage.
After you’ve KO-ed the final Shadow, watch through the cutscene and be sure to grab your rewards from the chests in the rightmost area of this floor before either heading back to the Desert of Doors or pushing onto the next floor of Cocytus.
