The series of Hauntings you complete for Myrna and Vorgoth inDragon Age: The Veilguardeventually leads you to one final quest – Hauntings: Deadly Playtime. Traversing deadly catacombs and other spooky locations has proved simple enough thus far, and this final Haunting won’t hide from you for long.
While each battle thus far offered something slightly different, this final Haunting, Death, is probably the least visually terrifying enemy in the game. It’s hard to be frightened of what is essentially a glorified candlestick, but don’t take this foe too lightly. This will test your relentlessness and strength, as this creature isn’t easy to keep in check.
How To Defeat Death In Hauntings: Deadly Playtime
Begin your journey inMinrathousat theCentral Market, and follow your marker up the ladder toThe Warrens.
The short path will lead you to a jumping point that leads toa roof across the gap.
Jump to the other roof and prepare for a battle, asDeath,a giant Candlehop and the final Haunting, will spawn immediatelyafter you land.
Death is weak toColdand resistsFire.
Begininflicting constant damageon Death as soon as you can when this fight begins.
Luckily, Death is a frail opponent, but its main gimmick is that itconstantly regenerates healthwhen it’s not being hit with damage.
To counterattack Death’s regeneration, you must close the distance quickly with your melee characters while keeping a constant barrage of turrets or arrows flying at the elusive creature.
However, be wary of Death’s attacks, especially a three-pronged Cold spell that can inflict massive damage andchillyou.
Cornering Death by pushing it against the invisible barriers of the arena will aid in your barrage, but prepare for the creature to dash around the battlefield.
Continue to keep the pressure on byusing skills that apply damage over time (DoT),as even the DoT ticks from Burning will help, even though the enemy resists that status.
After a few minutes, Death will go down, completing the final Haunting battle. Loot the remains and head back to theNecropolis to retrieve your rewards from Myrna and Vorgoth.
