Like many games, you’ll face your share of bosses inUnknown 9: Awakening, the first of which is the fearsome Mila Savić, and she’s no pushover despite being the introduction into boss battles. Wielding a gun powered by Umbric energy and unique Ascendant tech, there’s a reason she’s Vincent’s right hand.

She’s far tougher and stronger than every other Ascendant you’ve faced up to this point, even the Bruisers, and you’ll need to use every skill at your disposal to beat her and get to Vincent’s Morning Star – and without ending up with too many Umbric energy bullets in you.

Double Dodge

Parry

Mila Savić is atough boss with two phases, and her moveset incorporatessome of the tacticsyou’ve already been dealing with fromSharpshooter enemies, but with a few deadly twists.

For most of the fight, she’llattack you fromlong-range with anautomatic weaponthat can do serious damage, so you’ll want toeither dodge to the opposite sidewhile approaching when she does ortake coveraround the map.

If you don’t, you run the risk of losing most of your Health ordying from the volleyof shotsifall of them hityou.

Use plain combat and Shroud to eliminate the enemies in the prior fight so you cansave all the environmental explosives for Mila’s boss fightfor some extra damage against her.

ThePush skill will be your best weaponagainst Mila, especially in her second phase. Alternate betweendodging towards Milaandpulling her towards you, then hitting her with afew attacks until she raises her fiststo block.

She’llblock and attempt a counterattacklike other enemies after you land a few hits, so you can try toParry her attack, dodge to either side, oruse Push or Pullto interrupt her and get some more hits in tobuild up her Faze meter.

When herFaze meter maxes out, Mila’s going to get stunned, and you’ll get achance to do a Burst Attackon her for massive damage. Do it, then she’lllose all the built-up Faze, and it’ll be time to repeat the process until youreach her second phase.

While it’s rare for Mila to use it, she can also do acharging attack similar to the Bruiser-class Ascendantsin both phases.

How To Deal With Mila’s Second Phase

When Mila Savićgets down to half health, there will be a short cutscene before she enters her second phase andincorporatesa new attackinto her arsenal.

In addition to blocking and countering like before, Mila now startslaying down a row of five explosive mineswhenever she dodges, and they can easilydecimate your Health if several explodein a chain reaction.

While it isn’t as effective as Pull, you canstill use Push to interrupt Mila’s attacks and movementto give yourself a chance to close the distance.

This is when you’llwant to use Pullthe most, as well asPush if you have any environmental explosivesleft in the area. Use Pull tosnatch Mila away from her wall of mineswhile dodging her shots and over to you so you canget some more hits in.

Keep up with thesame tactics as beforeuntil you get Mila’s Faze up and thenhit her with another Burst Attack.

If there’s only one line of mines between you and Mila, you canuse one or two dodges to go through them safelywithout triggering an explosion.

Once you get her down to about afourth of her health left, Mila will automaticallyhit you with an instant-kill attack, ending the fight prematurely and giving you a cutscene with her to end it.
