Defeating the Queen Blood Spider as part of the Friend of Morokai the Turncoat side quest is a prime example of this, as you will get several excellent upgrade materials and a unique Morph on top of that, making it worth seeking out early on in your adventures.
How To Complete Friend Of Morokai The Turncoat In Throne And Liberty
After activating theCarmine Forest Waypointin Throne and Liberty, you willgain access to the region’s side quests, withFriend of Morokai the Turncoatbeing one of them. You can begin the quest by headingsouth of the Waypointto the designated area marked on the map with a blue circle.
There’s alsoanother location you can head to that’s west of this area, but this route is faster and will let you essentially kill two birds with one stone,so we stronglyrecommend just going south of the Waypointto speed things up!
Collect A Page Of Collection: About Morokai
Once you’rein the outlined area within the Carmine Forest, you will see anenormous web with many spiders around it.Look to theright of the webto find acollection of rocks and a bonfirebeyond them. On one of the rocks will be aCollection Codex Page.Pick this up tocomplete the first stepof the quest.
Yournext objective will be defeating the Queen Blood Spider, which can be a bit tricky if you’re unprepared. However, youcan solo this encounterif you wish, as itisn’t too demandingonce you get the hang of her attacks. Nonetheless, as long as you’reat least Level 19,you should be more than fine here!
How To Find And Defeat The Queen Blood Spider
TheQueen Blood Spiderwillspawn in the same area you picked up the Codex Page,so don’t go anywhere just yet. Ifshe’s not there when you arrive,it’s likely due to someone else defeating her recently. If this is the case, you won’t have to wait too long, as it will takeroughly seven minutes for her to respawn.
Whenever she does spawn in, ensure yougrab her attention with a ranged attack to get her away from the groupof smaller spiders, asthey will attempt to attack you if they’re a standard Blood Spider or if you accidentally hit themwith an AoE Skill. You will be golden if you get her into a relatively isolated area. Butdon’t go too far away, as she will disengage and return to her spawnpoint.
While she has adecent amount of attacks, the onlyone you really have to worry about is her Leaping Strike, where she willjump extremely high into the air before landing on you, knocking you to the ground andtemporarily stunning you, allowing her to unleash her fury on you uncontested.Roll or Guard when you see her leapinto the air to avoid this attack.
As long as youhave Recovery Crystals on handto heal if you begin taking too much damage, youshould be fine as long as you avoid her most potent attack. If you still find yourselfstruggling, you may alwayslevel up a bit more and try again,or you cantackle her with other players,as you will still get the kill credit even if someone else delivers the finishing blow!
