Now that you’ve made even more headway inside the Judecca door in the Abyss of Time trying to get to the bottom of the DLC forPersona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis, you’re up against yet another boss fight, the second of two for this section of the game.
Reckoning Dice and Eternal Sand both take normal damage from physical moves – some of the only moves thatcandamage them – so bring your heaviest hitters into this Persona 3 Reload boss battle. Without any weaknesses for you to exploit, you’ll have to beat Reckoning Dice and Eternal Sand the old-fashioned way.
Reckoning Dice Weaknesses And Attacks
The fight with Reckoning Dice takes place onJudecca B15and is the second Shadow fightin the Judecca doorin the Abyss of Time, as always with a checkpoint floor just above it if you need to go back to the Abyss of Time to heal, change the party, visit the Velvet Room, or save your game before heading into the fight with Reckning Dice and Eternal Sand.
Without a dedicated healer in this fight, you’d be wise to either stock up on healing items at Aohige Pharmacy if you haven’t collected enough running around the Judecca door in the Abyss of Time, or summon a Persona from your Compendium for Aigis to use that knows good healing magic.
Affinities and Weaknesses
-
Attacks and Skills
Heavy Wind damage to all foes.
Tetrakarn
Erects a wall that repels one physical attack for one ally.
Fully heals one ally.
Life Drain
Drains one foe’s HP and uses it to replenish its own.
Especially in cases like this where the Shadows don’t have any weaknesses that you may exploit, it’s a good idea to come into the battle witheveryone’s Theurgy gauges fully chargedso you can immediately deal a hefty amount of damage at the beginning of this otherwise frustrating fight. With two Shadows on the field and Theurgy negating affinities, the stronger the multi-target attack you can use right away, the better.
How To Beat Reckoning Dice And Eternal Sand
The name of the game in this Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis battle isphysical damageas you primary form of offense, since if Reckoning Dice and Eternal Sand don’t nullify a type of elemental damage, they drain it. You don’t want to give the enemy any extra chances to sneak ahead during this boss fight, especially sinceEternal Sand will regularly heal the teamwith both Diarahan and Life Drain.
Another particularly frustrating thing Eternal Sand will do during this battle is usePoison Mistto do its best to inflict the entire team withPoison, whichdepletes some of your HP after every turn in battlefor the duration of the ailment. It’s always best toheal Poisoned teammates as soon as you canso they don’t lose any extra HP during the fight, especially since Eternal Sand is more than ready to drain some of it from them, too.
Even though you need to use physical attacks here to make headway in the boss fight against Reckoning Dice and Eternal Sand,Reckoning Dice routinely uses Tetrakarnduring this fight, whichrepels one physical attackback at your team the next time you try to hit that Shadow physically. The best way to handle this is tohit them with a Persona that resists that type of physical damagein some way, so they don’t get hurt too bad in the process.
