As you explore Hyrule inThe Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, you’ll encounter many temples filled with puzzles and enemies. These challenges can be tricky to overcome, but with a bit of help, you’ll be well on your way to saving the kingdom. In these temples, you’ll find bosses and mini-bosses that stand in your way.
The Faron Wetlands features a temple with a hydra-like mini-boss that will attempt to stop you multiple times. We’ll guide you through how to find this boss and defeat them so you can restore the Faron Temple to its former glory in Hyrule!
Deku Plant Boss Overview
While most of the temples in Hyrule have one mini-boss and one main boss, the overgrownFaron Wetlands Templehas a mini-boss that pops up twice.
Thankfully, this boss isn’t particularly formidable if you enter battle prepared. The real threat are the multiple heads, but it’s easy enough to stay out of range. We’ll walk you through how to find and defeat the Deku Boss' stages.
How To Defeat The Deku Plant Boss First Stage
The first stage is unlocked after youobtain a small keyand unlock the door to thenorth of the main chamber on the third floor. Inside, the iron gates will shut behind you and a two-headed deku plant will begin attacking you from the center of the room.
The good news is thatthe boss is stationary! It won’t be growing legs and chasing you around the arena. The bad news is that the plant will lunge at you andsecrete a toxic gas cloudwhen you get close.
If you get caught by one of the heads, you’ll beeaten up and spit outa few moments later!
To defeat this first stage, you cansummon your strongest echoesto deal damage. Aim for the red nodes along the plant’s stems toslice off the two heads, though the boss can be defeated without doing so.
This stage won’t take too long if you’re vigilant, souse Darknut to attack consistentlywhile you move about the room. Once the deku boss is defeated, allthe smaller deku plants around the temple will shrivel upand disappear.
How To Defeat The Deku Plant Boss Second Stage
The second stage isunlocked on the second floorof the temple,past the two large scalesand locked gate. verify you’re prepared for this stage, as it’s tougher than the last.
It appears more like a hydra, withfour heads instead of two. Each of these has the samered weak point, but with multiple heads attacking all at once, it’s difficult to get close.
Make sure toavoid the poisonous cloudsit releases!
Use Darknut or a Wizzrobe todraw their attentionand swordfighter form to get close when you can.Fire arrows at the bodyif you’re having trouble. As youlop off one head after another, the battle will become easier.
You can trick the heads intoswallowing a Bombfish echoif you time it correctly, causing it to explode in their mouth!
Occasionally,small creatures will emerge from the headsand begin singing. Defeat them tofill up your swordfighter formmeter. Once the heads are destroyed on the deku boss, thebody of the plant will open up and reveal a large chestwith a big key inside.
This will allow you tochallenge the Faron Temple boss, Gohma, on the first floor! Make your way there to finish the temple and restore the rift in the Faron Wetlands.
