The Temple of Slaughter inThrone and Libertyis a harder version of a previous dungeon called the Roaring Temple. While the Roaring Temple has a minimum character level requirement of 30 and a Combat Power of 900, the Temple of Slaughter requires all party members to be at the max character level.
Although the mechanics of the Temple of Slaughter are quite similar to the Roaring Temple Dungeon, completing the dungeon can be fairly difficult for players who are encountering it for the first time. This article will guide you with everything you need to know about completing this dungeon and its mechanics.
Temple Of Slaughter Dungeon Walkthrough
All players in the game unlock a number of higher-level dungeonsafter they have reached a character level 50— Temple of Slaughter is one of them. Similar to other dungeons in the Dimensional Circle, the party size for this one is six players.
The overall party consists ofone healer, four DPS members, and one tank.
Thetank plays a key role in successfully progressingthrough this dungeon and the final boss fight. Make sure thatan experienced player plays as the tanksince they will play a significant role in a successful raid.
After spawning, defeat the mobs in the hallway located on your right. Eliminating all mobs willlift the barrieron the left side of this hallway leading to a lower area where you candrop to progress further.
While there areonly Ancient Dark Shamans and Monks on the upper level, the lower level has a lot more enemies which are relatively tougher (including an Ancient Dark Enforcer and Wizard). ensure todrop at the farther end of the lower level with your partyto avoid being targeted by multiple enemies at the same time.
Once you are at the lower level with your party, eliminate the enemies here well to activate the Mana fluid Regulator, which will fill the space with Mana Fluid and lead you towards the next zone. You canskip through the next upper level and rush straight to the nextMana Fluid Regulator area on the opposite side.
How To Defeat the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard
Once youactivate the next Mana Fluid Regulatorand defeat all the enemies on the third and last elevated platform, you must nowglide over an area with fire pillars.Make sure tolook out for the fire circleson the ground as the pillars spawn, becausea single hit can end your glide and drop you to the ground, which can instantly deplete your health.
Once you are safely back on the ground, you now need torush through the remaining part of the dungeonwith your party members until youget to the final staircase.
In party matchmaking with random players, most party members are more inclined towards rushing through the dungeonwithout dealing with the smaller mobs. This makes itmore time-efficient to farm dungeonsfor higher-level loot. ensure tokeep up with others, or you will be cornered and eliminated by the enemies.
Here you mustdefeat the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizardto remove the final barrier in the doorway that leads to the main boss room.
While theparty approaches the Berserk Shade Wizard, thetank must pull all the remaining mobs away from the staircase, otherwise the entire party will be overrun by the abundance of enemies.
The mini-boss has anumber of simple attacks which can stun you instantly. This includes targeting players by using dark projectiles and area-of-effect (AOE) spells. Most spells can be easily countered by using your defense.
Make sure tokeep a close eye on the ground, as most targeting spells will have a visual indicatorabout where the spell will land after it has been cast. Once the wizard is defeated, you will be allowed tomove into the final boss room.
How To Defeat The Rex Chimaerus
After entering the boss' room, remember the locations of the four statues around the boss' area. It is ideal to have one player to have around each statue, but your partycan also position themselves closerto make things easier for the healer.
The boss’sattack patterns are relatively simpleand if you are attacking it from a range instead of targeting it from the front, there are three main attacks that you must be wary of. Here are the details of each of these attacks:
Beinghit by all three fireballs results in certain death. To survive, the marked player must move away from the teammates and the tank must position themselves between the boss and the marked player. The tank or some other party member mustabsorb the first two fireballs.
In addition to interacting with the chandelier, two players must also release two of the chains that are attached to the statuesto successfully stop the attack. Failing to complete this sequence willtrigger a powerful AOE attack which can result in a team wipe.
Once the boss has been defeated, the dungeon will be complete, and you canclaim your rewards in exchange for 300-dimensional contract tokens.
