Dragon Age: The Veilguardbrings you on a tour through unique locations with dozens of quests to tackle in each spot. Whether you’re enjoyingthe series of Hauntings questsor want to find some buried treasure, Dead Men Tell Some Tales will scratch both classic RPG itches with a quick, contained adventure.
Rivain might not boast the most luscious landscape in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but there’s still plenty of mystery and intrigue lurking beneath the surface, sometimes literally. Under the sand and discarded skeletons lies a buried treasure, along with a haunting undead crew dead set on keeping it safe.
Your quest takes you to theCliff ClimbinRivainwhile on your hunt forSharksmouth Mountain.
Follow your marker up a hill, thenclean out the mercenarieshere so you can speak with theSpirit of Adventure,who spawns once everyone is defeated.
The spirit tells you about a lost treasure nearby and gives you thefirst clue,which directs you tofollow the shark’s maw to the leviathan’s tail.
Per the clue, fast-travel to the beacon closest to your marker in theTide Flatsand approach the spot mentioned in the clue.
When you see the giant leviathan skeleton, head to the tail area and roam aroundnear some large bouldersuntil you trigger the next part.
Once you reach the right spotnear some wrecked boats, Undead Pirateswill appear and attack you.
Wipe the floor with the Undead Crew here (weak toNecroticdamage, resistCold) then head to the largerock near the tail to find a second clue.
The second clue reads, “Where the rock stands tall, look for the shortest waterfall.”
Head to your next marker onDragon Beachand trigger the next group of undead to spawn bywalkingin the shallow waternear the base of the waterfall.
Defeat the group of enemies here by capitalizing on their weakness to Necrotic damage. Then, investigatethe third clueat the bottom of the waterfall,near a skeleton leaning against some rocks.
The third clue reads,“My booty’s within reach, you’ll grab it near the beach.”
Sprint as fast as possible to theWinding Shorelineand search near the coast to the south where you’ll seea crescent-shaped pool of water.
Reaching this spot will trigger one more major fight along with a powerful enemy to slay: theSuperior Undead Warrior.
This boss is alsoweak to Necrotic damage,so unload all your abilities on it once its armor is depleted.
Clear out the lesser enemies first, or you’ll risk being overrun by their numbers.
Once the battlefield is clear, you canfocus on the Superior Undead Warrioruntil you finish the fight.
The Superior Undead Warrior is comparable in difficulty toa champion from one of the “Gate” quests.
After the battle is over, speak to the Spirit of Adventure one last time and follow your marker to thetreasure cave behind it by shimmying through a tight space.

In the cave, you’ll also find some minor loot as well as aUnique Utility Belt: Glorious Ultimatum.
This item turns your health potions into Ultimate-restoring potions. Activating your Ultimate ability restores your HP to full.
