How To Find The Yellow Loong

The Yellow Loong is tucked away in the confusingWebbed Hollow zone. After defeatingBuddha’s Right Handin the cramped corridornear theCliff of Oblivion Keeper’s Shrine, the boss’s dead body acts as a makeshift bridge. Cross over it, and you’ll reach an area where the path splits into two.

To find the Yellow Loong,take the left pathand continue across a rope bridgeuntil you reach awebbed bridge surrounded by Clawed Cocoons. After a downward slash, theYellow Loong performs two sweep attacks, whichleaves an arc that explodesafter a short delay.

You’ll want tomake every hit count against the boss, so your weapon choice is pivotal. TheChitin Staff, or, if you’ve managed to beat theViolet Spider, theSpider Celestial Staff— the better of the two — should be your go-to staff. Bothincrease crit hits, but thelatter boosts it substantially.

The entire strategy here revolves around crit damage, asYellow Loong doesn’t leave many windows open for attacksand has naturally high defense. So, when you do get your chance, your attacks should hit hard.Tiger Subduing PelletsandAmplification Pelletsare a must toenhance your damage outputduring these critical moments.

When you first step into the Yellow Loong’s arena, take a breath, asthe boss won’t make a moveuntil youcross the first pile of debris. Use this calm before the storm tosort out your buffs, andinitiate the fight with a fully charged heavy attackfrom the Smash Stance.

If you hesitate and cross the pile of stone debris, theYellow Loong will open with a thrust, so be ready to dodge right away.

One key move to watch for is hishidden grab attack, whichfollows any successful parrywith Rock Solid. If it connects,you’ll die immediately, so eitherback off after parrying or stick with Cloud Stepto avoid this danger altogether.

Cloud Step is alsohandy during the Yellow Loong’s flying dashes, allowing you toreposition yourselfandsneak in a powerful critical strikeif you’re struggling to dodge them.

Once you’ve grasped the Yellow Loong’s attacks and cancomfortably knock him down to 70 percent health, things get chaotic. The Yellow Loonggets far more aggressiveand chains unpredictable combos.
