Like many other games, you’ll have your Health to manage and increase inUnknown 9: Awakening, but instead of MP, Stamina, or something similar, your other main stat is Am. Your Am is the arcane energy of the Fold flowing through you, and almost every skill costs at least a small amount of Am to use.
You don’t just gain more Am by leveling up or investing any stat points into a particular stat: to increase your Am, you need to find scribing left by the Three Bodies. It is knowledge recorded by other Quaestors and those who can wield the Fold, left behind for others to find in the future.
All Three Bodies Scribing Locations
Three Bodies Scribings areone of two stat-boosting Scribingsyou can find, alongside theTree of Life Scribings, and there areseven totalin the game.
Each one you Interact withincreases the amount of Amyou have access to for your skillsby a small amount, as well ashow long you can stay in Shroud, as its length ismostly dependent on your maximum Am.
How To Find Three Bodies Scribings
While you’re exploring, watch for yourShade Bracers to glow brightlywhen you’re within range of a Scribing.
Then,usePeekand look for thetraces ofAm flowing in the directionof the Scribing, as they’ll direct you to the exact location of it.
Scribing 1
Richat Structure
Disable the Forcefield blocking the camp, then kill the Ascendants in the area, and Reika will blow away the crates and wagon blocking a path downward. Climb up the scaffolding and the Scribing is against the statue’s back.
Scribing 2
Suknasari Forest
After defeating the Ascendants in the area, take the upper left path near a Quaestor Detector and get Luther to help you up the wall. Turn around and go to the left instead of climbing the vines, follow the path around to the abandoned house, and the Scribing is in the right corner.
Scribing 3
Chamatkiri Mandir
Once you split up with Azad, climb up to the top of the temple and kill the Ascendant at the edge of the balcony. Climb down the flowering vines near them, then jump the gap and the Scribing is on the piece of pillar.
Scribing 4
Quinta Matos
Climb up the wooden wall with Luther and crawl under the rocks to a small cave, then climb under the arch of hanging stalactites. The Scribing is at the end of the cave, near some rocks.
Scribing 5
Anatolia
Lift the rock wall and pass through with Luther, then stop and turn around. Go up the staircase behind you, cross over the doorway, and go around the corner, then drop off the ridge and use Peek. The Scribing is in the corner of the small room, near the walls.

The Morning Star III
When you’re back inside the Morning Star, go all the way to Vincent’s office and walk up to the case behind his desk. Interacting with it will unlock a secret room below you, then so downstairs, and use Peek on the Seshin statue in the center of the room to see the Scribing.

Peshanden
Head down the massive staircase and follow the path through the hole in the wall, and down a few ridges. Once you drop off one you can’t go back up, go through the doorway, and then crawl under through the hole on your left. The Scribing is in the middle of the small room.
