InThe Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, Zelda will face many challenges she must overcome. From fighting powerful enemies to solving puzzles using the echoes she’s learned along the way, there is no limit to how many ways she can reach her goals. You need only use your imagination.

The Faron Wetlands is filled with thriving wildlife, fearsome monsters, and various puzzles. Finding ways to solve these puzzles and uncover the secrets of the Wetlands will lead to unique rewards. Here’s how to find and unlock the hidden ruins with Zelda and Tri, so you can defeat the boss waiting for you within!

How To Find The Hidden Ruins

After you’veprogressed with the main storyand done a fair amount of exploring, you cancome back to the Faron Wetlandsto find new quests. West of the Smoothie Shop, you canspeak with a Deku Scrubwho still loves cotton candy.

They ask if you like it too, and you should agree! They’ll tell you they found a giant cotton candy floating away not long ago. They heard a voice ask if they wanted to play a game, and the Deku tasks you withfinding the source of the sound(and hopefully the cotton candy).

You may recognize this phrase from theLet’s Play A Game quest. This must be completed before the Cotton-Candy Hunt quest will start.

Head to theruins south of the scrub, where the Drippitune frogs are. You’llfind a large Deku Scrub statuejust beyond a pond with two tall braziers. The braziers are dark due to the rain, sodefeat the frogs on the lilypad and in the grassto clear up the weather.

With the rain gone,light the braziersusing your echoes. Once both are lit, the Deku Scrub statue will move back toreveal a staircaseleading down into the ruins.

How To Solve The Hidden Ruin Puzzles

Once inside the ruins,proceed through the openingbeyond the treasure chest. This room hastwo electric orbs moving aboutin a pattern.

You need toguide them into the gold boxat the back of the room.

The easiest way to do this is tobind Tri to them and carry themdirectly into the opening.

In the next room, you’ll need toburn the webs on the floorso you may access the different orbs. Again, you can directly guide them to the gold box, or you can use boulders to gently redirect their current course.

If you’ve learned the echo already, you cansummon new orbsand put them directly into the box.

The third room is a bit trickier. You’ll be separated from the orbs by iron bars. Use Tri tomove the boulder inside the chamberand catch the different orbs on it. Lead the boulder to the gold box in the center to contain the orbs.

Then,activate the statue at the far end of the room–it will start marching. If you time it right, the electric orb will latch onto the statue, then the wall, allowing you tograb hold of it with Triand contain it. The door will open and you can proceed down the ladder.

If you can use Tri to summon echoes at a distance, you can come up with more creative solutions using the echoes at your disposal!

Here, you’ll need to make your way east by climbing over the chasm. However, there are more electric orbs here that will stun you. You candefeat them to learn the echoor ignore them and justpower through until you reach the next chamber.

Here, there areseveral orbs trapped underwater.Use your rod to bind Tri and carry the orbs to the golden box at the surface. Once you’ve gathered all three,the iron door will unlockand you can proceed.

How To Defeat Smog

As you enter the easternmost chamber, you’llface Smog once again. All to happy for a rematch, Smog is prepared. He splits into three smaller clouds that you’ll need to redirect.Smog cannot be damaged until all the clouds are reunitedand his main form is whole again.

Binding Tri to the smaller clouds won’t hold, but it willhave them change direction. Keep this in mind as youblock passageways with bouldersand other echoes.

Keep your distance from Smog andfire arrows at himwhen vulnerable. he’ll continue to break apart into smaller pieces and need to be corralled back into one giant cloud so you can defeat him.

Ranged echoes will help you attack at a distance, and you can alsouse automatons to deal damage!

Once you’ve defeated Smog, he admits you’ve bested him and dissipates.Collect the piece of heart he dropsand return to the Deku Scrub that send you after him.

While the scrub believes you’re hiding something, they still reward you byturning the ancient charm into the curious charm! The charm will nowgreatly decrease the damage you takewhen worn.
