The Great Fairy returns inThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and she isn’t just a girl who gives Princess Zelda more accessory slots in exchange for rupees. She also has a late-game quest in which you can earn a valuable accessory for gathering Power Crystals.

First you will need to have completed a handful of temples, give her a decent amount of rupees, and travel across loads of Hyrule. Only then can you take on this quest. Oh, and you also need to open the treasure chest in front of her fountain without ever asking permission. Turns out Zelda is more like Link than we could have ever imagined.

How To Complete The Great Fairy’s Request

Upon entering the Great Fairy Fountain, anytime after finishing the Eldin Temple quest, you’ll notice an unopened treasure chest sitting beside the water. It doesn’t contain anything too special, but it will get the fairy’s attention as she rises from her sanctuary to chastise you.

This will lead to herasking for Zelda’s help to construct a gorgeous new piece of jewelrythat will help the fairy look more fabulous than anyone else in the land. Say yes, and you’ll be sent on a world-spanning trip to gather ingredients and build this new accessory.

Gerudo Town merchant agrees to make a pendant for Zelda in Echoes of Wisdom.

Your first stop is Gerudo Town, where the expert who can create this pendant is located. You can find her inside the local shop, and speaking to her will initiate the conversation that leads you to gathertwo key ingredients — a floral seashell and amagma stone.

These can be found in Zora Cove and Eldin Volcano, and until you gather them, the merchant won’t be able to craft the pendant.

Zelda speaks with a zora merchant about the floral seashell in Echoes of Wisdom.

How To Get The Floral Seashell

Fast travel straight to Zora Cove and speak with the merchant to the left of the town. He will be talking to himself about the beauty of his new floral seashell, but is willing to part ways with the object if you make him anunfortunate smoothie.

This is the Echoes of Wisdom equivalent of a dubious meal in Breath of the Wild, so allyou need to do is mix two badly-matching ingredients togetherto create a beverage monstrosity.

Zelda makes an unfortunate smoothie in Echoes of Wisdom.

Any smoothie maker will do, but the one in theGerudo Oasis is relatively close and easy to access. So head there and put together an unwieldy concoction.Mixing fruit with a random monster partis normally a surefire way to guarantee something unfortunate.

After that, head back to Zora Cove and swap it out for the floral seashell. The merchant will drink it in front of Zelda and compliment how much he loves the way it feels sliding down his throat. Whatever floats your boat…

Zelda speaks to a goron merchant about magma stones in Echoes of Wisdom.

How To Get The Magma Stone

Much like Zora Cove before it, you will need totravel to Goron City and speak with the local merchant. He will talk of precious magma stones located inLizalfos Burrow, but he’s unable to access them until the scaly buggers are dealt with.

You will find the burrow to the north of the city, and will have been there before when tackling the Eldin Temple.

Zelda walks towards the lizalfos burrow in Eldin Volcano in Echoes of Wisdom.

The Lizalfos themselves are trivial to dispatch with Zelda’s echoes and swordfighter form, so just be wary of environmental hazards as you are taking them out.Once all nearby enemies are taken care of, the merchant will appear and gather the rocks, making sure to give us the best of the bunch.

Now you have everything you need to make the Great Fairy’s amulet.

How To Craft The Great Fairy’s Amulet

Upon returning to Gerudo Town, the local merchant will happily craft the amulet for you right away. Once it’s in your possession, return to the fairy fountain to hand it over and earn a great reward.

The fairy will give Zelda a Might Bell, a new key item that will indicate whenever she is close to power crystals in the open world.
