The crew behindLove And Deepspaceput their hearts and souls into every part of the game, and with little moments like the secret Player Birthday Event, it shows. Every year, there is a special birthday event for each one of the main characters, including you. On your birthday, log into the game for a delightful surprise party.
Your special birthday event is unique to you and will only trigger on your birthday. The event will last for a full week and will re-trigger on your birthday next year. And with each new love interest added to the game, you’ll earn more birthday presents!
The Player Birthday Event
As you would imagine, your special birthday event willstart on your birthday. If you log into the game on your birthday, the first thing you will see is a special birthday message from yourmain love interest.
The first character to greet you will be the character you have thehighest Affinity with.
The event gives you aspecial event screenwhere you canaccess and replayall birthday wishes from each of the four guys. You will alsoreceive giftsfrom the developers in this menu.
How To Set And Change Your Birthday
When you first start playing Love and Deepspace, you’ll have to go through thecharacter creation menuandcustomise your character’s voice, appearance, and name, as well as create your account andadd your birthdate.
If you chose to skip the birthdate section or youchose the wrong birthday, you may alwaysreset itfrom the player profile. Simply select the pencil icon next to the DOB section.
To change a birthday, you will need aBirthday Edit Pass.
Birthday Edit Passes get costly, too, as each one costs300 Crystals(which can only be bought within-app purchases), so you should do your best to make sure you get your birthdaycorrect the first time around. Otherwise, you’ll need to spend real-world money.
Buying Birthday Edit Passes can allow you tochange your birthday to an earlier dayand force the player’s birthday event to betriggered early.
Gifts From The Guys
You won’t just get a birthday message from your main love interest butfrom all the love interestsin the game. And, as love interests are added, you’ll getmore and more birthday wisheswith each major character update.
Each one of the guys will surprise you, but the order isdetermined by your Affinity level.
That means thatno matter whoyou have waiting for you in Deepspace Café, thefirst manto wish you Happy Birthday will be the one you have thehighest Affinity with.
After watching the first birthday wish, you can watchall the others.
You can return to the birthday stories by entering theEvent Menu at any pointduring the seven-day birthday event, or you canreplay individual storiesfrom theLove Timeline.
Each guy will give you aspecial gift, wish you birthdayblessings, and yes,even sing Happy Birthdayto you!
We recommendsaving these birthday songs, but you’ll be able to replay them any time from the Love Timeline, as everybirthday story is savedand can be played from this menu.
Each of the gifts that you receive from the guys can beinteracted with at his deskin the With Him menu of Deepspace Café, butonly someof them have sustained interaction animations.
Xavier
Xavier’sforgotten a lot of birthdaysover the years — something you learn aboutduring the story stages of his own birthday event. As he tries to wish you a Happy Birthday, you’ll see that he’s alsoforgotten the tuneof the birthday song.
But once Xavier’s gotten a hang of singing to you, he’ll complete his well wishes with somesweet blessingsand hand you a gift. Xavier’s gift,Stellar Whisper, is aspecial radiochanneling thesounds of Deepspaceto help you sleep.
Stellar Whisper is one of the more interactive gifts you will receive from the guys. Triggering the animation of the item willstart the aforementioned recordingof the sounds of Deepspace and will sendgolden music notesdancing around the moon-shaped radio globe.
You canreplay Xavier’s birthday wishesat any time from the Love Timeline by selecting the entry titled, ‘Blessing From The Stars.’
Zayne
Zayne has been and likely always will be themost traditionalof the guys and that extends to his treatment of holidays. This loving doctor willmake a toast to your healthand sing you the sweetest of Happy Birthdays.
His birthday wishes echo his own birthday event as he talks aboutbestowing special blessingsthat will protect you for the rest of the year.
After he blesses and sings to you, he gives you the gift he bought:Frosted Breath, a cute little snowbird that, when turned on,creates a gentle snowfallin the room. You can use this item to decorate your desk and can interact with it at any time.
You canreplay Zayne’s birthday wishesat any time from the Love Timeline by clicking the entry titled,‘Dreamy Snowfall.’
Rafayel
Rafayel has always been one of themost forward love interest and his birthday wishes reflect that fact as well.
While most of the Happy Birthday songs you’ll hear use pretty generic wording, Rafayel will call you somesweet, loving namesto make the song feel even more special.
This man has never done anything in halves and will always give youthe very best. In typical Lemurian style, Rafayel will ensure your birthdayblessings last a full lifetime, channeling your blessings straight from the Sea God.
But, to verify all your wishes come true, Rafayel will gift youDeep Sea Wish, a special wishing stone all the way from Lemuria. Clicking on Deep Sea Wish in the With Him menu will cause little red fish todance around the stone. However, this animation isnot continuous.
You canreplay Rafayel’s birthday wishesat any time from the Love Timeline by selecting the entry titled, ‘The Ocean’s Birthday Blessing.’
Sylus
Sylus’s birthday wishes arearguably the funniestas you’ll get to hear first hand the reason Tara insults his singing abilities in Sylus’sMelodic Wave memory.
Sylus willattempt to sing you Happy Birthday, but… there’s a reason we don’t hear him sing more often. Kudos to his voice actor for really diving in!
After Sylus wishes you Happy Birthday andserenades youwith a less-than-perfect rendition of the birthday song, he’ll give you the gift he carefully chose for you. Following the musical theme, Sylus will give you aplayable recordyou can interact with in the With Him menu.
Sylus’s record,Chaos Melody, plays a mournful pipe organ melody recorded in the building Sylus brings the player to upon first meeting. Turning the record player on willautomatically play and loopevery time you’re at his desk.
You canreplay Sylus’s birthday wishesin the Love Timeline by selecting the message titled, ‘Hit The Bull’s Eye.’
A Birthday Gift From The Devs
The guys aren’t the only ones wishing you a happy birthday!The developersat Infold show their love for you through theirspecial birthday giftsand wishes.
At the top right of the birthday event menu, you’ll see agift box marked Linkon Gift. Selecting the gift box will reveal Linkon City’s (the Devs') birthday wishes and a prettysweet assortment of goodiesto use.
