Clear Minds And Open Heartsis one of the few missable Trophies/Achievements inDragon Age: The Veilguard. It only becomes available after witnessing every memory of Fen’Harel, which means it already takes a lot of work, but even with that, it’s no enough. As you head to the Crossroads and learn even more about the mythos of Mythal, keep your wits about you.
To earn this Trophy/Achievement, you’ll need to select the correct responses. We’re here to help with that, and to ensure you get the Trophy/Achievement you’re after. However, ‘failing’ this exchange leads to a pretty interesting boss fight, so while there’s no Trophy for that, it might be worth save scumming.
What To Say To Mythal
When you talk to Mythal, you canconvince her to hand over the Essence. This is theonly way to get the Trophy/Achievement.Youcan failthis conversation andstill get the Essence, but that willnot get the Trophy/Achievement.You need to select the following options to get the Trophy/Achievement.
What Happens If You Fight Mythal - How To Defeat Mythal’s Retribution
If you ‘fail’ this conversation, you fightMythal’s Retribution - a dragon. However, this dragon isnot required for the Bringing Down The Sky Trophy/Achievement, despite being a High Dragon. It does, however, have excellent rewards:300 Lords of Fortune strength, three Dragonfire Catalyst, 11 Ethric Remnant, a Caretaker Memento worth 200, and A Pale Reflection amulet. And you still get the Essence, so it might be worthsaving, giving the ‘nice’ answers, then reloading and fighting. This will ensure you getClear Minds And Open Hearts, therewards, and the Essence itself.
As for fighting Mythal’s Retribution, it’s a highly aggressive lightning dragon, but isVulnerable to Necrotic, sotake Lucanis of Emmrichwith you. Someone who can Detonate for high Stagger is also useful, soHarding, Davrin, or Taashshould be the other choice. Since it doesn’t summon mobs, you need toavoid its lightning beams and bombs, rush in andattack its legs when they glow, andsave your Ultimate until it Staggers, thenaim at its underbelly.
