With so many weapons to buy and merchants to visit,Dragon Age: The Veilguardhas lots of resources to find to be able to afford everything you’re going to want. One of the most important is called Etheric Remnant. You’ll need it because some vendors don’t accept the gold you’ll inevitably have loads of.
The merchants in the Crossroads, as well as the Black Emporium, only accept Etheric Remnant as currency for the gear and Mementos they offer for purchase. Unlike gold and Heartwood, it’s not lying around everywhere for you to pick up and stockpile.
How to Farm Etheric Remnant
There is one place you should find Etheric Remnant pretty reliably. If you head to the Crossroads, in any section of the location, you should find plenty of it. Much like in the screenshot below, it should bestuck to the sides of walls and look like a green crystal. When you pick it up, you should get between three and five units.
That being said, much like the majority of resources in the game,you’ll be able to find Etheric Remnant almost anywhere. You’ll find it in every location, and it can be found in chests at all times.
The best thing to do isloot everything you find. You’ll be getting a lot of gold in the meantime, but you should find plenty of Etheric Remnant.
Finally,you can also buy Etheric Remnant from the Black Emporiumin Dock Town once you’ve unlocked it. Forone Dragonfire Catalyst, one Fade-Touched Silk, or one Royal Elfroot, which are also all sold at the same shop, you can get one Etheric Remnant. Since Etheric Remnant is more common than those other resources, though, we wouldn’t recommend making that trade unless you’re desperate.
