The first time you arrive at the massive Morning Star inUnknown 9: Awakening, you’ll come across a particular door in the showcase room at the back of the ship. Unlike other closed doors, it offers you the chance to interact with it, but it just says it’s locked.
If you use your enhanced Peek skill, you can see items highlighted behind the door, and your Shade Bracers even tell you there’s a Scribing hiding behind there too. Unfortunately, there’s no kicking down the door either this time. It only opens when the time is right – and full of deadly electricity.
How To Get Into The Morning Star’s Locked Door
To get into the showcase room’s locked door, you’ll need toprogress in the storyuntil youreturn to the Morning Star for a third time, after completingall the story objectives at Quinta Matos.
Once you get back, you’ll have some cutscenes with the group, and then it’ll be time torewire the four antennaeon top of the Morning Star whiledodging lightning strikes. Reconfigure all four of them, and you’ll beback inside the ship againafter a cutscene.
TheDouble Dodge skill from the Combat skill tree can help with dodging the lightning, as it essentially doubles the distance you cross.
Instead of coming back to the bridge or the landing platform, you’llenter the ship at the very back, putting youbehind the door that’s been locked upuntil this point. You can take the second set of stairs down to it, thenpermanently unlock itfrom that side.
In this area, you’ll alsofind two new Extractorsyou might have seen when Peeking from the other side, as well as aTree of Life Scribing in the control roomthat Mara goes into.
There’s also a smallpuzzle involving four lightsthat unlocks several glasscases in the showcase room containing some collectibles: a Diagram, a Sahin Tile, and an Artifact.
The light puzzle can be solved byflipping the light switches in a particular order: the third light, the first light, the second light, then the fourth light.
