How To Make Pocket Money
Pocket Money is going to behow you buy any purchasable itemin the game, such asmost cooking ingredients,gems and junk items, minerals, andcertain important items.
At the start of the game, you canhold up to 1,500 Yen at one time, but completing themain mission, The First Leader Appears, and witnessing a scene with your family will unlock aseries of sub-missionsthat willreward you with your first wallet, and let youcarry more Pocket Moneyat once.
Anyexcess Yen you receive will disappearif you go over the 1,500 Yen limit before you receive the Kiddy Wallet.
How To Show Kazuko New Finds
Amassive source of moneythroughout the game will be recordingnew entriesin thebook that Kazuko gave you.
When you visit her and ask her to record your findings,she’ll pay yousome Yen foreach new entryadded toany of the four categorieswithin it: Fish, Insects, Vegetables, and Minerals.
Once you fill up all the pages, Kazuko willno longer pay you for entries, even if they’re for a new King Size.
In total, you’ve got112 entries to fillup and, while itstarts small at around ten Yenfor finding theearly game vegetables and animals, like Ostrich Fern and Swallowtail Butterflies, you’llearn more Yenonce you lograrer animals and harder to find minerals.
How To Give Kazuko Fireflies
Once youcomplete the main mission, The Public Bath Is Ready, you can findKazuko at the Open Air Market at nightif you go exploring, and she’llask you if you have any fireflies, alongside accepting anything new you’ve found like normal.
Giving Kazuko 50 fireflieswill get you the Become The Firefly King achievement.
Thisdoesn’t count as a sub-mission, but you dostill get rewardedfor doing what she asks. Foreach firefly you give her, regardless of the type, she’llpay you 20 Yen, making it adecent source of money early onin the game, as Fireflies are easy to farm.
Aftergiving her at least one firefly on any night, Kazuko will alsoexchange Yen for them during the dayas long as you have some in your inventory.
How To Complete Cooking Challenges
Unlocked during themain mission, This Guy’s Favorite Order, Cooking Challenges arespecial sub-missionsthat have yougathering the ingredientsof a recipe and havingYosoi make a dish for someone.
For themajority of them, you’llget a reward of Yenfrom the client for completing it. It starts relatively small at200 Yen for the first challenges, like Ms. Natsue’s Dinner Plans 1, butlater ones reward you with 400 Yeneach, or even larger payouts.
A handful of these challenges reward you withrare materials like Raw Sapphire instead of Yen, but they are still worth doing for that reward and getting the dish added to the Food Menu.
You’ll alsoget a large payoutfrom Yosoi forincreasing the number of customersin the diner byadding more dishes to the menuon top of the rewards from each challenge.

How To Fulfill Diner Orders
While the profit can fluctuate due to how it works,fulfilling orders at Yosoi’s dinercan bedone dailyto get yourself Pocket Money, asYosoi pays you for each orderthat you complete.
Up tofive customers can come in a day, and each of themwillhave a perfect dishin mind. They’llgive you a hintabout what they wantbased ona combination of theoriginal dish descriptionfrom its challenge, andthose given by Yosoion the Food Order menu.
Thewanted dish chosen is randomand no customer has a set of dishes they’ll hint toward or only hints at one item every time.
After you’ve chosen, Yosoi willserve the dish to them, you’ll get a response from the diner, and depending onhow close you get to their ideal choice, you’ll get one of fourminimal, average, or maximum payoutsafter youtalk to Yosoi:
Evenpartially getting the dishes correctcan get youaround 500 Yen per day, and since thedishes are free to make once you’ve unlocked themvia Cooking Challenge, it’s a great way to have aconsistent source of Yencoming in.
How To Trade On Bulletin Boards
You can findtwo Bulletin Boards, one in Unbent Village and one in Coal Town, each of whichoffers you six trades per daythat you can complete, for atotal of 12 across both boards.
Most of the time, thesetrades will request one item for another, like a certain amount of a specific bug for a few vegetables or fish, but sometimes you’llcome across ones that reward you with Yeninstead.
Your reward money ranges from120 to 200 Yen per trade, and with12 chances to get offers like this per day, once you have both boards unlocked, you canturn excess itemslike Ostrich Fernsinto a nice profitif you get lucky with the number of those trades you get.
How To Get Yen From Sub-Missions
Later in the game, once youcomplete the main mission,The First Victory, by beating Yuta in a Trolley Race, you’ll be able to get aseries of sub-missionsfrom Toroku’s brother, Jyuroku,Trolley Shop Parts.
Another late-game sub-mission, It’s Hard Out Here For A Butterfly Bro, alsorewards you with 900 Yen for completing it.
These sub-missions require you toget certain materials for Jyuroku, and not only will theseunlock more types of trolley partsandupgrades for all of them, but each of them alsogives you a monetary reward.
